    There was a W3C Graph Data workshop this week, nice overview here: http://www.juansequeda.com/blog/2019/03/08/w3c-graph-data-workshop-trip-report/

    It would have been a great excuse to visit Berlin :-0

    Seems a little quiet in here ;) I'm interested in adapting biolink-model to the new property graph APIs in progress for Apache Spark version 3.0 . . . with perhaps Apache Avro and Parquet mappings for in-memory and on-disk storage respectively. Best to discuss here, or open a new issue and discuss there?

    heh yeah does seem quiet here.
    probably a ticket is good, or the NCATS-Tangerine Gitter room

    @heuermh Lets create a ticket here: https://github.com/biolink/biolink-model/issues

    We can get more eyes on this discussion

    Thank you, @deepakunni3 @mellybelly, I'll create an issue next week for further discussion

    just saw this.. I have too many gitter rooms to keep up with, yes, issue on tracker is best

    Are there some biolink-model docs about the keys in the yaml file? What is class_uri vs mappingRelation Why is there rdfs:subClassOf?
    I want to map from a biolink-model term to the best “equivalent” OBO ontology class (or it can be any number of ontology terms, I will just hope one of them is in my database)

    Curious about the coordination between biolink and bioschemas
    (here at the Elixir meeting)

    @balhoff. The biolinkml repo holds documentation about the metamodeling language use to define the biolink model itself. This provides definitions of keys used to define things in the biolink model itself.
    I think the meta.yaml file is the root source of truth here.
    It holds definitions for things like slot_uri, class_uri, subproperty_of, subclass_of.
    But I also see a separate file specifically for 'mappings' elements:

    Hope this helps. Several others have had questions recently about how different keys/elemetns in the biolink model are used to capture mappings to ontology terms/iris - may be worth discussing on a (KGS) call, and/or clarifying in the documentation.

    @mbrush thanks for the pointer, I forgot to look in that other repo

    The docs for ClassDefinition say that class_uri is "URI of the class in an RDF environment”. But 'chemical substance’ has class uri SIO:010004, but in the ttl version the URI is <https://w3id.org/biolink/vocab/ChemicalSubstance>, with a class_uri link to <http://semanticscience.org/resource/SIO_010004>
    It isn’t clear what "URI of the class in an RDF environment” means, since it isn’t used
    Jim Balhoff
    @balhoff
    @deepakunni3 @hsolbrig @cmungall could any of you rebuild the turtle file here: https://github.com/biolink/biolink-model/blob/master/biolink-model.ttl
    It seems pretty far behind the yaml file, and there are several prefix mistakes in it. I tried rebuilding it but I can’t get my python environment to work correctly.

    Hi folks, could i talk anyone to give a 20 min presentaiton on biolink model on this week’s GA4GH Clin-pheno meeting?
    can be fairly informal

    hi folks, is it BioLink Model or some other variation?
    e.g. Biolink-model
    BioLink model
    etc.
    what is the correct casing?

    @deepakunni3
    We are trying to standardize on Biolink Model

    Prototype documents for governance here:
    can you take a quick peek at the biolink parts?
    some have mentioned a biolink team, i’m not sure we have an official one or at least not biolink specific meetings, but rather KG meetings
    please edit

    Random question: what is the difference between context.jsonld and contextn.jsonld? And similarly biolink-model.shex and biolink-modeln.shex, etc.
