    @gpakosz
    that's a bit bizarre to have that warning on a fresh install when you're a first time user
    Pavel Kouřil
    @pavelkouril
    Yeah, but it's something with the posh-git than with cmder itself :) I'm not even sure how I solved it tbh
    Gregory Pakosz
    @gpakosz
    @pavelkouril well if posh-git (which I just discovered) ironed things out then I guess that calls for a new version of cmder that uses a more recent version of posh-git?

    heyo sorry for asking something obvious, what is the best way to update cmder?
    download package and rewrite every time?
    Daniel Gordon
    @DanielGGordon
    @UberGruber @MartiUK I think said the best way is just to keep your config and alias files, and then just copy everything over. It's not the most fluid way, maybe that's something we can add in the future.

    Is there a variable containing the current working directory that can be used when spawning a new tab. I am trying to split the current window and have it started in the same directory as the current window. Any ideas?
    Here's what my Task looks like:
    "C:\Program Files\Git\bin\sh.exe" --login -i -cur_console:s50H
    Dan Hamlin
    @Blackbaud-DanHamlin
    so to my untrained eye it looks like git-for-windows will be included shortly?

    @dustin-lennon
    seems that version 150913 has brought back the {git}{hg} {lamb} issue when viewing a cmd console. This disappears if I download the current stable version and make use of the vendor/conemu-maximus5 folder fro mit
    s/fro mit/from it

    Hello everyone, I'm currently away on holiday but from the start of october I will be back and will have more time to spend on cmder, my priority is to ensure it works perfectly on windows 10 and to update all components

    Hello guys. Here's a little advice on how to fix the "Cmder Here" links in Explorer so they open the console in the current directory: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31136137/cmder-conemu-explorer-current-directory-location/32811621#32811621

    Is the main repo cmderdev/cmder still being maintained? The latest commit was about a month ago and there's a bunch of open pull-requests. If not, what fork would you recommend as the most "alive"?
    Daniel Gordon
    @DanielGGordon

    https://github.com/cmderdev/cmder/releases/tag/v1.1.4.1 is the last version that is really what I would consider complete. However this does not include the Powershell updates (which need fixes anyway), or the new git for windows update, and some of the Windows 10 fixes.

    To get some of those, there is a test build out there that you might want to try. This one is quite recent, you might want to give it a try. Personally I'm on Windows 7, and I don't use Windows 10, so i don't care too much .
    https://github.com/Stanzilla/cmder/releases/tag/1.2.6

    Daniel Gordon
    @DanielGGordon
    Just to be clear, this version: https://github.com/cmderdev/cmder/releases/tag/v1.2 has bugs and needs to be updated. It would be good if people cold test the 1.2.6 version I linked above.
    Александр Гончаренко
    @alex-fgsfds
    What's broken in W10 (and in 1.2 in general)? I used 1.2 for a couple of months ago (not a clean install though, upgraded from 1.1.4) but hasn't encountered much bugs with it. Decided to give 1.2.6 fork a try, thanks! So far so good

    @alex-fgsfds from what I understand, pretty much anything related to Powershell, and also some critical errors for many users about a dll file. Also the Lambda showing up ad {Lambda} instead of the actual symbol.
    Александр Гончаренко
    @alex-fgsfds
    Hm, it showed the lambda correctly for me. But whatever. Can't confirm about PS since I don't use it
    Pavel Kouřil
    @pavelkouril
    Personally, I don't have any issues with the 1.2 from official site - or at least any issues I know of :)

    I have a certain problem with cmder, if possible, i'd love help. I'm trying to get into a directory by using "cd".
    Basically an error pops up when i typed the following: "cd pycharm projects", I assume it has something to do with the space between M and P. I tried using an underscore, but didn't solve it.
    leighflix
    @leighflix
    Never, It was a error on my part.
    nevermind*

    I found quite useful an alias like cdd=cd /f "$1"

    Alex-fgsfds did you have any problems with vim when using the 1.26 fork?

    Александр Гончаренко
    @alex-fgsfds
    @DanielGGordon No, I haven't yet. I experienced some crashes with vim on 1.2, but I suspect it was a Git for Windows' fault, not the cmder's. So far, it runs very smoothly and I have no problems whatsoever with it
    Daniel Gordon
    @DanielGGordon
    Does anyone know where git bash creates the prompt from? I wanted to alter it slightly (instead of making my own PS1 variable in my .bash_profile)
    Daniel Gordon
    @DanielGGordon
    @MartiUK good to see all the activity on github for the project!

    Am I the only one who would like a non-portable version of Cmder? Like a proper msi that installs into Program Files, has a checkbox for installing the explorer menu extension, and a proper uninstaller that reverts all that?
    Marc Telesha
    @mtelesha
    I have an issue where I ssh in vagrant and back space and visually it shows a space (But actually it deletes) ctl+shift V BackSpace = ^? which is correct. Git-Bash works correctly. Google Fu has failed me.
    Marc Telesha
    @mtelesha
    export TERM=vt100 is the fix. cmder does not declare the terminal when sshing.

    How can I get over to S:\? Seems like if I do 'cd S:\' it still keeps me at C:\

    How can I switch between tabs (in a split view with 1 window and 4 tabs inside) the same way it is supported in ConEmu https://gitter.im/bliker/cmder
    Is there a way to override these keys, e.g. Alt + Arrows?
