Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
works alright i think
lemme double check
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Maybe just:
'Deployment process for release 0.0.2 channel beta'
Or just 'Channel: beta' or nothing if no channel applies.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
that last option would be my preference if it is to change
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Yeah. Let's do that.
It works great. Just been testing it.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
I had had vague intentions of putting it into past tense
so that it emphasises its the state at that time
rather than current
but...
the release could have been created
but not deployed
so its not actually accurate
so your suggestion is probably the best bet
one thing to note... the step numbers do get out of sequential order, but I decided that was a feature rather than a bug
shows that steps were skipped
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Oh, yeah. Makes sense.
LIkely used to it anyway if they skip steps or have steps only applying to a particular environment anyway.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
briefly pondered whether to just gray out the step instead, but decided to leave it as it is now
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Yeah I'd leave it as removed.
Okay, heading to bed. I'll merge #73 tomorrow and publish. Thanks again for your help Matt.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
Cool. Thanks for merging!
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Version 1.52.10 published: Includes #73, #74, and #75.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
Sweet - thanks!
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Note I just now corrected the name. From 'Blue fin' to 'Bluefin', no space. I was not being consistent earlier so I went with the way it's written in the wiki article about Atlantic bluefin tuna.
The extension won't get that name correction until next publish. But the code and site have been updated.
It's something I've been meaning to do for far to long.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
:)
I've been meaning to go through and cleanup references to OctoPygmy as well
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Yeah. Blue fin didn't show up as much as 'OctoPygmy' and 'commonpygmy' and 'pygmy' will.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Oops, no. Forgot to change that.

Got a docker question for you @matt-richardson. Have you tried the microsoft/windowsservercore image? If so, have you been able to remote powershell into it?
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
you should be able to do that
have you forwarded the ports?
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Not with -p. But from what I've read (and have done) all those ports are available to the host. The odd thing, WMI works just fine. I can Get-Wmi Win32_Service -Computername "a.b.c.d" -credential xyz all day long. But can't Enter-PSSession. Keeps saying 'access denied'.
However, when I docker exec powershell -command { get-eventlog ..... } I see a successful logon, then an immediate session end.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
is it a secure/insecure thing?
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
That's what I thought at first. But, I do have the ip in the winrm trusted hosts.
I have not tried to get the SSL port (5986) working yet though.
That's the better idea anyway.
But I had done this just fine with Azure and other hosted servers.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
use docker exec ... to check if the firewall is open ?
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
I know I'm doing something wrong, just can't figure out what.
Yep.
Matt Richardson
@matt-richardson
Hmmm. not sure.
David Roberts
@davidroberts63
Test-NetConnection from host to container shows TCP 5985 is open.
Okay. I was just curious if you had run into that.
dragon788
@dragon788
@davidroberts63 have you done the winrm quickconfig via docker exec against the container?
