@mruwek
Or I can
But still
Current code should be error-proof, thanks to copy()
Jacek Sowiński
@mruwek
But I'm not sure of anything now
Jacek Sowiński
@mruwek
Substituting this line with alias_map = _SUBCOMMAND_MAP results in exact same error every single time.
Jacek Sowiński
@mruwek
But they will start to appear immediately after first command entered in prompt
Still doesn't explain how on Earth it could start randomly, without any caching mechanism involved, as it is in tagged 0.12.
Maybe it was some bug on the Interpreter side, rather than on ours?

I don't have an idea at the moment. For now I disabled the exception handling and hope it occurs again.
Jacek Sowiński
@mruwek
By the way - did You have any time to look into #188?
I believe it's ready for merge
Bram Schoenmakers
@bram85
looks like I have some comments, unfortunately GitHub is not really co-operative at the moment
The revert command seems to miss some coverage
There is a typo in revert's synopsis
Or rather, its help text
And in handle_args, the argument(0) should be inside the try-except block because it may also raise the invalid command exception
Jacek Sowiński
@mruwek
I've already written about coverage: 2 new partials introduced when fixed a long standing bug (with archive file set to blank). It's quite hard to mock it, but I'll try.
Jacek Sowiński
@mruwek
Can't find the typo, but I'm on my mobile phone, so maybe
I'll look after it when I'll have some spare time with a laptop.
Jacek Sowiński
@mruwek
About the argument(0) - theoretically it can raise InvalidCommandArgument, but implicitly it is an IndexError and such possiblity is eliminated on the line where it checks len(self.args) > 0
Bram Schoenmakers
@bram85
I'm about to prep a new release. It's been a long time and the changelog is huge. Also, timing wise it would be better for me to push it out now.
@mruwek it's impressive what you've done for the upcoming 0.13 version (and not everything you've done is included). Thanks a lot!
Jacek Sowiński
@mruwek
0.13 is very nice release. I'll try to rebase #174 and #176 in near future :)
I'll also try to create some sort of screencast demonstrating current abilities of column UI

If you haven't noticed, there's a GitHub and Gitter room for the todo.txt specification, located at todotxt/todotxt.
If you haven't noticed, there's a GitHub and Gitter room for the todo.txt specification, located at todotxt/todotxt. There are some wild (backward incompatible) ideas floating around, more useful is the discussion to document the tags among todo.txt clients.

Hi
I don't know if the arrow direction in dot output is really intuitive
I understand that it points from parent to children, but maybe reverting the arrows would more graphically sugest the flow of the work to be done?
I've also discovered that I can use textual identifiers in id: and p: and that is awesome, because it leads to possibility of creating pre-determined task-set (cfr my post under #225)
Bram Schoenmakers
@bram85
@mruwek i see what you mean and i think such visualization would make sense. i think the current form is easier when working with the dep command to see how the relations are actually recorded.
@mruwek we could perhaps add a different output format such as rdot (reversed dot)
@mruwek and glad that textual id's do work, i must say it works by accident :) would be a good idea to add a test case for textual IDs to guard this functionality

#234 is about relative dates in edits

@BrandonShega
I've been reading the documentation for a while now but I can't seem to find if I can have completed items in my column display. I'd like to either have items that I mark for completion to just get the completion flag and then I can manually archive all completed items later (mostly as a recap for the week) or have the completed column read from the done.txt file. Are either of these possible (preferably the first).
Brandon Shega
@BrandonShega
I see I can disable archiving maybe that is the only option and I just delete the items at the end of the week or whatever
Brandon Shega
@BrandonShega
I think this will do nicely with auto archiving disabled
[Completed]
title = Completed
filterexpr = completed:<=today
sortexpr = desc:due
groupexpr = completed
show_all = 1
Bram Schoenmakers
@bram85
That's right, by disabling archiving you'll keep the completed items in the todo.txt file and they will be shown.

Hi guys, despite trying really hard, I could not get the coverage of #249 to passing levels. If anyone has any pointers as to how can I do that, please let me know.
thanks!

@mrshu

Hello everyone, if someone could take a look at #249, I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks!

Started to prepare Github pages during my lunch break. I'll continue a bit later because I need the DNS changes to propagate, and my lunch break is over now :)

Is there a newer iteration of todotxt? A lot of projects don't seem to have updates since ~2017
