    i'm gonna see how far i can get tonight and i think i can get a few good hours in the morning before times up
    yeah i definitely need to prepare better too, like get a babysitter and make sure nothing is planned for the weekend xD
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    there is actually a game jam event in my city next week
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    cool! is it global?
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    it's a chapter of global game jam yeah
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    sweet, well i might give that a shot
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    it'd be nice to do it, it'd give me a week to figure out a workflow
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    though i might be starting a full time job in the coming weeks, waiting on a response for a linux sysadmin position
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    at the same time I wanted to wrap up projects in January and I still have like five of them
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    i've got wayy too many projects going right now myself :worried:
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    I wanted to release EG 0.1, Quaint 0.1, Engage 0.1, then finish up three short stories
    that won't happen
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    heh, sounds like a good plan though!
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    they're all almost done... in theory...
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    what's planned for EG 0.1?
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    I'll make some syntax a little more lenient, like .x and @x being actual tokens, so no need to put ()s around @ when used on its own
    then I wanted to add ~ to refer to previous statement, | for piping
    I'd like to add finally for match but I'd like to rehaul part of the compiler before doing that, so I'm postponing it
    really though it's been stable for long, so I don't plan to change a lot
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    excited about the last two!
    three really
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    ~ will be useful to me I think
    it kiind of works for piping too, in a way: x | f | g | h is like [f(x), g(~), h(~)]
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    sweet! i'm excited to try them out!
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    me too ;)
    by the way, I might have to split my markup language from the static site generator I wrote
    I'm pondering names for the generator. Quaintman? Quaintum?
    Eloquaint?
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    acquaint
    quaintum sounds cool
    eloquaint too
    quaintly
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    I thought about that
    Jake Russo
    @MadcapJake
    quainta; quaintify; quaintizer
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    quaintizer could work
    Benny Elgazar
    @Bennyelg
    Hey all :)
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    hello :)
    Benny Elgazar
    @Bennyelg
    Do you still maintain earl-grey?
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    @Bennyelg yes, and I'm using it for a few other projects, but I haven't had to do much in a while
    Nick ODell
    @nickodell
    Does anyone know of a vi syntax highlighter for earl-grey?
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    @nickodell Someone made one sometime last year, but the repo's a 404 now for some reason, I'll see if I can get a hold of the author to ask what's up with that
    Nick ODell
    @nickodell
    @breuleux That's weird. Thank you for helping. Cool project, by the way.
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    Oh, right, I did get it from the author and rehosted it: https://github.com/breuleux/vim-earlgrey
    Nick ODell
    @nickodell
    Thanks, working now.
    Olivier Breuleux
    @breuleux
    neat!
    Nelson Kamga
    @nelsonkam
    Hello, I'm trying solve some exercises to learn EG
    I would be glad to have some help
    I have a question: Is it possible to implement Array.reduce using each without using var ?
    Nick ODell
    @nickodell
    @nelsonkam I don't think so. Not without keeping some kind of state.
    Nelson Kamga
    @nelsonkam
    @nickodell I see..thanks.
