    Hey! I've been incredibly busy too. I can work on the rubocop stuff and some other refactoring as well, during some upcoming travel. But if there's anything else specific we need to knock out, let me know :)

    How incredibly weird that 2.3.0 was released on supermarket April 8 2015, and I somehow managed to release 2.4.2 April 8 2016. I swear this was not on purpose.

    @martinb3
    That's bizarre.
    :)

    hi there, anyone knows how to change the default version of redisio with the custom JSON on AWS stack (OpsWorks)?
    Brian Bianco
    @brianbianco
    I unfortunately have never used OpsWorks.
    you can't just set to the node.default['redisio']['version'] attribute?
    Nicolas Sebastian Vidal
    @nisevi
    hey man thanks for answering! yup I can do that but I was looking a way to not affect the other apps that are using the same cookbook, since we have forked the recipe and currently is being used on several applications
    Brian Bianco
    @brianbianco
    I see, well im not super familiar with OpsWorks, you could always just create a wrapper cookbook around it.
    And then just use that cookbook, whose only real purpose would be to set the version (and any other custom actions / attributes you may want)
    That's probably the safest thing you can do

    @nisevi
    hey! that is a good idea! I will try what you say :+1:

    hey there!
    Just wanted to say:
    1. Thanks for doing this, we've needed a new mainter for a while
    1. Try to do your best to not break everybodies stuff when you do a release :)
    1. Feel free to start the fabeled version 3 that does away with all the horrible aspects of the current cookbook
    why does it keep numbering it the same :D
    Also feel free to do the version 3 in your own account and redirect people there from the current CB
    Grant Ridder
    @shortdudey123
    no problem and I normally do pretty good at not breaking things :p
    Brian Bianco
    @brianbianco

    Brian Bianco
    @brianbianco
    Not a problem, you've been asking for a while I've just been preoccupied

    Grant Ridder
    @shortdudey123
    :)
    Brian Bianco
    @brianbianco

    @shortdudey123
    @brianbianco created brianbianco/redisio#324 last night to cleanup the testing and drop support for chef < 10
    going to merge it in a bit unless you have any questions on it
    Brian Bianco
    @brianbianco
    You may want to just make sure to do a minor version bump if removing a chef comparability
    That guy was pretty rude by the way
    We don't get paid to update this cookbook either!
    Brian Bianco
    @brianbianco
