I’m totally baffled by this ordered partitioner assertion bug, if Francesco was right about it happening in VDSes written with the current master

Hey, just getting up to speed.
You think this bug is related us changing the ordering of contigs?

I know that was a problem
that caused Kyle's problem
but Francesco says he got the same assertion error despite importing with the same version

That was a bad oversight on our part. You had Kyle reimport?
I’m inclined to think Francesco’s problem is user error.
Can we have him rerun it and send us the exact commands?

yeah
he said it was just import/split/write
I think we should have him run import/split/write/read and see if it goes without any errors
I haven't had kyle reimport yet. If he already VEPed, it may be better to just delete the partitioner and have him shuffle it

I agree with having him retry. I bet he just doesn’t remember.
Also, agreed on Kyle.
Things are getting sufficiently complicated that we probably need to start versioning soon and have tests that verify backward compatbility between minor version changes.

I’m going to move the hail repository from broadinstitute to hail-is. I think it should Just Work(tm), but it might end up breaking everything.
Here is information on repo transfers: https://help.github.com/articles/about-repository-transfers/
OK, done!
By default, Github directs the old repos to the new, but they suggest updating local repo remotes to point to the new repository.
Something like git remote set-url bi git@github.com:hail-is/hail.git

OK, I created two new rooms: hail-is/hail and hail-is/hail-dev. I’m going to close this room. We should move other there. Slack #hail is going to migrate to hail, and this should move to hail-dev.
