No worries! I ended up going into the music room and recording some this evening, so the Protractor stuff is still all yours Mark ;)

So I pushed the work in progress to the angular-material branch. You'll need to npm install again to get the new dependencies, and then I've split gulp test into 2 targets: gulp test:unit and gulp test:integration. The 2nd one runs, seems to pass, but then eventually sync-times-out.
I'm not sure why.

The problem is definitely between protractor and angular-material. Even the official starter project at https://github.com/angular/material-start doesn't have working tests.

Don't get me wrong - it has tests. They just don't work.

Heh, well... material-start has only a handful of bugs...
Material has a couple hundred
Maybe it would be better noticed if you opened it on start?
Link me and I'll +1 :D
