    ok, I try to set the javaCppVersion := "1.2" in my build.sbt
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    with SBt-JavaCPP, I have yet to bump the JavaCPP version
    so by default it's still at 1.1, sorry about that.
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    haha
    nice it works
    no more

    val platformName = "windows-x86_64"

    libraryDependencies ++= Seq(
    "org.bytedeco" % "javacv" % "1.2",
    "org.bytedeco" % "javacpp" % "1.2.2",

    @lloydmeta
    ah ok cool.
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    this plugin is amazing
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    thanks :) I'm glad we solved that quickly.
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    we are right now on a students project using OpenCV for face recognition
    and adding and building opencv manually is juat a pain in the ass
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    oh yeah definitely. I did it once and said, never again.
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    under linux still managable, but under windows no way
    another question
    do you mind, when I try to put the javaCppVersion := "1.2" as default into sbt-javacv
    or is there a way to infer the javacpp version automatically for a given preset lib
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    it would be nice to be able to infer the JavaCPP version, but I'm not sure if it's possible at the moment. may need to give that a think.
    in the meantime, the default version should definitely be updated :sweat_smile:
    so yeah, having javaCppVersion := "1.2" as default into sbt-javacv is not a problem.
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    ok, if you need any help with that i would like to attend you in that plugin project
    but I think you can do by yourself quicker...
    because until now I never wrote a sbt-plugin
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    any help is appreciated :) but yeah, this one I'll handle since it's just faster that way :) I'll get it done by tonight and ping you here once it's released
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    nice!
    as 1.7.1 or 1.8?
    i'll see
    thank you very much!
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    I've just pushed SBT-JavaCV version 1.8 up to Sonatype as a new release. It should be up on Maven Central in around an hour or so :)
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    Thank you!
    what I also noticed is
    when I putjavaCppVersion := "1.2.2"
    the plugin tries to fetch the lib by ending with 1.2.2 and not 1.2
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    ah that's not good. when I made this plugin, there were no releases with patch numbers (number after the second dot).
    I'll address that now.
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    Done, SBT-JavaCV 1.9 is now up and supports patch numbers in versions as well.
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    sry, that I did not tell you earlier
    I really appreciate your kind support!
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    actually hold on, I screwed up the release, will release another version shortly.
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    ok we're good now. Please use 1.9.1 of SBT-JavaCV. sorry for the confusion.
    if you run into any issues please feel free to ask or file an issue. I'm signing off for the night :wave:
    Sebastian Wiesendahl
    @swiesend
    ok, rest well!

    Hi Guys, i am new opencv and have a bit of experience in scala. i have trouble setting this up . i included this parameter addSbtPlugin("org.bytedeco" % "sbt-javacv" % "1.5") in project/plugins.sbt but it throws the following error, sbt.ResolveException: unresolved dependency: org.bytedeco#sbt-javacv;1.5: not found
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    i also tried 1.9.1
    i did sbt run in the directory
    Lloyd
    @lloydmeta
    that's odd
    I think the version you're using is off; the latest version of sbt-javacv is 1.14
    try addSbtPlugin("org.bytedeco" % "sbt-javacv" % "1.14")
    Sydney Rockwell
    @parapsyche
    thanks for the reply. i got it fixed. basically my error was, i had another file which was conflicting with sbt run
