I've been trying to add a few more shows but have had no luck, once I exit the shell I migrate to make the changes but nothing happens. I'm going to see what other details I can add to the website.

I've been trying to learn the migrating too.
I was able to create a migration the seats model, and I registered them with the admin page like he talked about in class. I haven't been able to get the table to create apparently. The only one I can really look at from the admin panel is the actor one.

You didn’t commit the migration that added the seats, did you? Because I can see your addition in the model, but I don’t see a migration file
But I just ran “python3 manage.py makemigrations theatre” and then “python3 manage.py migrate” and it made a migration and added it to the database
I haven’t checked in the admin panel though, I’m just looking right at the db file

trying to figure out what broke ticket sales.
somehow the performances got messed up.
Nothing I added should have effected that. I just looked over all my code.
is anyone else having the ticket sales page break?
Ryan Batchelder
@c1phr
Feb 06 2015 03:41
The first issue that I ran into was that the ticket sales page was trying to pull data from Seats.objects.all() (in views.py), but “Seat” shoud be singular to match the Model name
kbullins
@kbullins
Feb 06 2015 03:45
yeah I fixed that on my end already
accidentally left that plural
I was looking at the issue with performances
Ryan Batchelder
@c1phr
Feb 06 2015 03:48
I have an issue there too, but mine looks like the changes that were made to add seats and available seats to shows didn’t get migrated into the database
kbullins
@kbullins
Feb 06 2015 03:49
I tried to migrate them. It said there were no changes.
Forgive me I'm new to this.

No worries, it can get wonky. So if you open the migration that starts with 0004 and go to line 38
There’s something that says “default=()"
I changed it to default=100, and then I could run manage.py migrate
I think it’s because there are some shows already in the database, so it tries to insert defaut values when you add a column, but instead of asking you for a sensible default, it leaves it as something that will throw an error and hopes that you’ll find it later

@kbullins
Feb 06 2015 03:54
wow.. oops. Thanks for finding that.
makes sense
im going to sync that fix up.

Sweet, glad that took care of it on your end, too

anyone else getting an error on the upcoming performances and tickets pages? I am
Ryan Batchelder
@c1phr
Feb 06 2015 04:18
When did you pull? I think that was fixed in the last few minutes
Alex
@ajs476
Feb 06 2015 04:19
pretty sure i have the latest one, im getting this: OperationalError at /performances/
no such column: theatre_show.available_seats on both pages
Ryan Batchelder
@c1phr
Feb 06 2015 04:20
So if you grab the latest then the database should have the column in there. If it doesn’t, you can try running python manage.py migrate

Should the location / directions be on the index or performance information page?
Alex
@ajs476
Feb 06 2015 04:27
this is exactly what i was just thinking, i think the location should be on the front probably
I mean we have all those headings and nothing in them yet
kbullins
@kbullins
Feb 06 2015 04:28
are any of you working on the index?
I was putting some stuff on there.

Ryan would you say we have met the requirements of the project?
I'm still going to move the ticket pricing to the shows themselves.
Ryan Batchelder
@c1phr
Feb 06 2015 05:26
Yeah, it looks like we hit all the requirements
And probably went above a few of them

19/20 we lost a point for code organization.
I'd need to ask to figure out what he wanted with code organization, but the views page had some weird spacing on github.

Hmm, it all looked good on my local machine, so I wonder if GitHub made things look weird? Or maybe he was talking about something else
