Hey guys how can I access to the y axis values generated by c3?
Juan Mejia
@nice00xt
@gilmillasseau you can access to the element that you want in c3.chart.internal.fn
Gil Millasseau
@gilmillasseau
@nice00xt thanks I was hoping there is a method to access to yAxis values generated by c3

Hey guys, I notice that the subchart performance is very slow when the data points are above 1000. Any idea on how to improve the performance?
VoidVolker
@VoidVolker
@vincentwongso you can't, only use chart lib with canvas renderer

Hello everyone, I have a bit of a theoretical question on c3. When generating a chart, is it correct to say that you pass the generate method a configuration object as an argument? Say I would like to use some pure d3 on the chart I just generated, how would I be able to, for example, log the actual chart object that was generated to see what I can alter?

Just to recap (please, do tell me if I'm wrong): the way I see it is when we use c3 generate we create a d3 object with a lot of default sorted out. What I am looking for is a way to inspect the actual d3 object that was generated to make changes to it using d3.

Posted it on Stack Overflow as well, please let me know if the question doesn't make sense. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/39080108/how-to-use-d3-js-on-c3-js-chart

Hey all, I've been looking for a way to recreate this graph in c3js (or d3js if it isn't possible in c3)
Would appreciate any help or pointers

Is there a way we can create 3d Pie and 3d donut chart using c3?
Alex
@lifecoderua
@vinzandtonz c3 is based on d3, so you may (more or less) directly play with the interpolation of underlaying d3 abstractions. I guess it would be much easier to use d3 directly though, like this: http://bl.ocks.org/NPashaP/9994181 unless you are really familiar with the c3 internals.

how i can to set a default selected point on c3?
Juan Mejia
@nice00xt
hi, good afternoon, this is a really good library and i appreciate the effort that you are doing with it.
i have a small question about events
is there a way to avoid completing an event
let me explain better: i'm creating a line chart with data points, each data point should have a different style depending of the data, i'm achieving this using the select API that you made available to us
as shown in this example http://jsfiddle.net/jrdsxvys/7/
the thing is that, the user can select and unselect other points, and i want to avoid this behavior
is that even posible?
Juan Mejia
@nice00xt
Or there is another way to add a different style to a point in a linechart base on the data being passed

expect(true).toBeTruthy(); DOES NOT A UNIT TEST MAKE. :weary:

Welp, this was quite the start to my morning… c3js/c3#1843
If you run grep "expect(true).toBeTruthy()" spec/* | wc -l, you get 140. That means of the ~400 assertions made across all unit tests, 140 mean absolutely nothing.
I repeat:
140 of our unit tests test absolutely nothing

Hello, can anyone tell is there any guideline to write a plugin? I'd like to implement two dimensional zoom particularly.

Hi, can anyone tell me if it's possible to use the subchart zoom on the main chart?
Ændrew Rininsland

@flarroca That’s awesome! You should PR that on the https://github.com/c3js/c3js.org! :D

Hello. I created a small plugin (demo) for zooming to rectangular area for basic charts. Maybe someone would find it interesting.
Nikolay Durygin

@flarroca wow! Your tool is pretty amazing to explore c3!

will the rectZoom plugin get merged into C3?
Nikolay Durygin
@nidu
@kishoreg don't think so
Kishore Gopalakrishna

any specific reason? I like that feature better than the current zoom (using scroll)

had a question on stacked bar chart
how does c3 calculate the stacking order
never mind, i found that we can specify order:null to get the order I want

Hi. Is there a way to return html from tick.format function?
Nikolay Durygin

Managed to do it in onrendered though solution is not so good.

@flarroca I want to use sub and sup in tick text. Don't think it can be done with css
