Cake Scripting and Cake Frosting are two completely different things. While they use the same Cake Engine, they don’t have the same entry points. In theory, work could be done to parse the build.cake file and convert to a Frosting project, but I am not sure how much benefit this would serve.

Is there any way to introduce cake.gradle into Forting? I just want to execute "gradle build" through C#

this my build.cake file ,it's run well throuth command"dotnet cake --target=build"
but how to throuth C# to excute task "build"?

@mmdqq If you "only" want to execute "gradle build" from c#, I would really recommend using https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.diagnostics.process.start?view=net-5.0#System_Diagnostics_Process_Start_System_String_System_String_ From my point of view Cake and Gradle are two solutions of the very same problem. I would not want to inroduce Cake in a project simply to call gradle. I feel calling Gradle by using Process.Start() is the much better option here. (In the end, this is what Cake does, too.)

A question about ILog and process output: I have this issue from an user cake-contrib/Cake.AppCenter#22
He basically wants that I redirect process output (from the runner) to Cake's ILog. Is this something that makes sense?

I'm running under VS 16.9.4 and using Cake 0.37.0. A new collaborator is running 16.9.5 and is getting the infamous "MSBUILD: Could not locate executable" error. So... (1) is this a known thing? and (2) any suggestions? Should I upgrade both VS and Cake? Do I need to locate msbuild.exe programmatically in my script in order to support multiple VS builds?
Whoops... just got new info. My collaborator had the same issue with 16.9.4 and upgraded to try to fix it. :-(

@CharliePoole Not a known issue. Could you post on GitHub discussions with details (i.e. output of a diagnostic run)? https://github.com/cake-build/cake/discussions

Hi, I want to include Cake.MicrosoftTeams in a Cake Frosting app. How do I do this?
Mattias Karlsson
@devlead
You add it as a regular project package reference. A frosting app essentially is a .NET console application.
Then you'll be able to use its aliases on your frosting cake context. Given you'll imported right using statements. ( Cake.MicrosoftTeams)

Are there any cake add-ins does allow me to take an open API specification file and create the equivalent C sharp controllers?
Pascal Berger
@pascalberger
@SeanFarrow There are several. Search for openapi here https://cakebuild.net/extensions/
