Hi
what about registration, it was performed in cake manager, but missed in the new strategy.
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
Hey man. Registration in the cakeadmin plugin would be hard because its your backend. (imagine you have a webshop and everybody is able to login in your backend to change stuff ;)). Registration for the users-plugin is a very good - and necessary - idea, but didnt have time to implement it yet...
Ayman Alkom
@ayman-alkom
Ok I will

@mauricabrera hey man. Can you provide me some more details? What was your input? Are you sure it was an email address you used as username? It should be..

Hi guys. Really appreciate your work. Struggling to get things going. Fresh cake, talking to DB okay, during setup I get:

Migrating CakeAdmin Tables...
sh: call: command not found

Migrating CakeAdmin Tables completed!

Migrating Notifier Tables...
sh: call: command not found

Migrating Notifier Tables completed!

Migrating Settings Tables...
sh: call: command not found
Migrating Settings Tables completed!

And no changes made to DB
Obviously the key is in the 'sh: call: command not found'. I'll carry on looking as best I can...
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
Hey @pmelon
Thank you for your call... What php version are you using? You can solve it by the following code: Run the commands:
  • $ bin/cake migrations migrate -p CakeAdmin
  • $ bin/cake migrations migrate -p Notifier
  • $ bin/cake migrations migrate -p Settings
pmelon
@pmelon
Thanks for the swift reply! php -v shows 5.4.45
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
No problem!
pmelon
@pmelon
How did I cause the problem?
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
I dont know. Does the call method exist? Are you working locally?
pmelon
@pmelon
I'm working direct on the server, yes.
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
Ah okay. I'm afraid that's the problem ;) Locally (xampp) it works great, but I think that method is disabled on server...
pmelon
@pmelon
When I say 'on the server' I should elaborate: via SSH from OSX to an Ubuntu host
so all commands are carried out on the Ubuntu box
It's let me create the admin user :+1:
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
Very nice. Good luck and have fun :) Feel free to chat!
pmelon
@pmelon
The users table is created but no others. Following the docs I then hit a missing LoginController message. I feel I'm missing something very obvious...
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
Hm you have runned all other migrations?
pmelon
@pmelon
Doing so now
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
Good!
leica69
@leica69
Hi. Which tables (and structure) are required before running the migrations? I get an error message as I don't have an Administrators table. I can't find any SQL create table command in the docs.
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
Hey @leica69. The docs are not clear enough about this. The administrators model uses the users table. Only users where the column 'cake_admin' is 1, are administrators. About your issue, are you sure your cake (3.1) is up to date? And the same for cak
CakeAdmin?*
leica69
@leica69
cake is up to date and I made a fresh install of cakeadmin. I'll try again in a few days
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
Can You give me a log of your error? I'll try to track it down
I already know whats wrong...
leica69
@leica69
I removed it but it was something like "could not find Administrators.cakeadmin in WHERE clause..."
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
@leica69 I guess this was the issue: cakemanager/cakephp-cakeadmin@c1b4364
Please try installing again...
leica69
@leica69
Can't do it now
Bob Mulder
@bobmulder
@leica69 I've tested an installtion. dev-master works just fine ;) The issue was caused by a piece of code in the config/bootstrap.php which used the AdministratorsModel. However, this wasn't possbile, because you hadn't migrated yet. But, to migrate, you need the bootstrap.php. However, it's solved now ;) Good luck with the plugin!

Hi folks. I tried cakemanager (following exactly the docu) and everything went smoothly. But when calling the login page there is no LoginController. Do I have to create one by myself? Checking the sources on github I see that there is no one in the package.
blacksheep1970
@blacksheep1970
argh documentation error on http://cakemanager.org/docs/cakeadmin/1.0/installation/! "You are ready to login at yourwebsite.com/login!" should be "You are ready to login at yourwebsite.com/admin!"

@bobmulder
