Hi there, hope everyones doing good.
Does anyone know if there is a way to set a specific category as the default scope/view for a content group?
On the main nav and references, I could point the link directly to the category, but my problem with that is that the url is a bit confusing (1st world problems...)
So basically my goal is to have the url for the content group (for ex: http://localhost:3000/tutorials) to actually display the content group filtered by a specific category (ex: http://localhost:3000/category/574-introduction)
Cristian Guerrero
@tacataca
alternatively if it might be easier, something like "http://localhost:3000/tutorials/introduction" would work fine, dunno if this is achievable

Hi Guys!
I saw that Camaleon CMS has an admin config panel to use CloudFront and S3. But, I would like to use CloudFlare or StackPath instead, is there any code to do that ?

Also, I have a doubt about asset_path and theme_asset_path. According to Rails Guides it is enough to put in config/environment/production.rb the cdn host url, like config.action_controller.asset_host = 'mycdnsubdomain.fictional-cdn.com'. Doing that, asset_path returns the complete asset url, https://mycdnsubdomain.fictional-cdn.com/images/image1.jpg. But theme_assset_path doesn't return the cdn prefix, is it my mistake or theme_asset_path is not cdn aware?

Trying to pass the theme name with a slash at the end give an error, The asset "images/image1.jpg" is not present in the asset pipeline. Image1 is in the theme folder, app/apps/themes/my_theme/assets/images/image1.jpg. So, can't theme assets be in cdn by default?

Thanks for any guidance

Hi Owen,
Is there any issue with contact form plugin in rails 5 ?
Brian Kephart
@brian-kephart
Has anyone tried to make an ActiveStorage uploader yet? It would make the uploader much more flexible as far as what services could be used with newer versions of Rails. I keep thinking about trying it but I won't have the time to do it for at least several months, and maybe longer, so I was wondering if anyone else is thinking along those lines.

How can I edit the home page to manually show a set of images? (I edited the index.html.erb file but the changes happened on all pages)
Brian Kephart
@brian-kephart
@rfreihat94 it sounds like maybe you edited the index file inside the layouts subdirectory instead of the one in the views directory. Can you confirm/refute that?
Rima
@rfreihat94
@brian-kephart yes I edited the index file inside the layout file of the theme
Brian Kephart
@brian-kephart
It’s confusing because two files have the same name. Theme/views/index is the view for the homepage only, which sounds like what you want. Theme/views/layouts/index is the default layout for all pages, meant to contain your head, header, footer, nav, etc.

Hi , Is there a way to force all the assets to use https instead of http?
Thanks,

Hi, I'm having some problems adding my custom class to a contact form. Documentation http://camaleon.tuzitio.com/store/plugins/contact_form shows that I could create def camaleon_cms_contact_render(args) and put classes there. Where should I put this definition? Tried in a main_helper.rb for my custom theme, but no luck. Would appreciate any help.

@lookas1
Ok I think I got it :-) so if anyone needs the info, I had to add a hook co config.json: "contact_form_render": ["camaleon_cms_contact_render"] and then definition of camaleon_cms_contact_render to main_helper.rb in my theme.

Hi everyone, is it possible to use google authenticator for admin in Camaleon CMS?
Brian Kephart
@brian-kephart
Maybe? There's an authentication hook that might be useful. I don't have experience with 2FA, though, so I'm not sure what exactly you need to implement it.
Hugo Bento
@tostasqb
hi @josefsj3m google auth is an option, I would advise a couple of gems, devise and omniauth-google-oauth2

Hi does anyone know how to override contact_form plugin's results page? I would like to increase number of contact_form items per page and add filtering or sorting there (or grouping). I guess it's doable but I can't figure out what would be the steps. Thanks in advance for ANY help! :-)
Brian Kephart
@brian-kephart
For most things in Camaleon, you can override a view file in the CMS or plugin by placing a file in your project with the same name and path. Find the file in the plugin code, copy it into your project, and make your changes.
lookas1
@lookas1
@brian-kephart so I need to copy that file: https://github.com/owen2345/cama_contact_form/blob/master/app/views/plugins/cama_contact_form/admin_forms/responses.html.erb
into my app/apps/themes/My_theme_name/views/plugins/cama_contact_form/admin_forms
in order to override. Did I get you right?
Brian Kephart
@brian-kephart
I don’t remember without looking it up whether it goes in the theme directory or the main views directory, but yes you have the general process right.

I have one more question. I found 2 projects around dockerizing Camaleon:
https://github.com/k2tzumi/camaleon-cms-docker
https://github.com/PayneLabs/camaleon-docker

Both use MYSQL, my project is going to use PostgreSQL, is there any postgres version of these projects?

I have PostgreSQL running on extrernal HA cluster so I don't need in fact any Docker image of it, just Rails app I need in fact.

I just published a plugin to lazy-load images and iframes in Camaleon. https://github.com/brian-kephart/camaleon_lazy_loader

I don’t remember without looking it up whether it goes in the theme directory or the main views directory, but yes you have the general process right.

@brian-kephart I finally came to the point where I can focus on admin site. I tried to copy https://github.com/owen2345/cama_contact_form/blob/master/app/views/plugins/cama_contact_form/admin_forms/responses.html.erb under my :
app/apps/themes/My_theme_name/views/plugins/cama_contact_form/admin_forms
However it does not seem to work. I can override _email_content from contact_forms folder however overriding responses.html.erb under above path does not give any effect.

Ok I got an answer from Owen, file should be put not under themes/My_theme_name/views/plugins.... but here exactly:

/my_project/app/views/plugins/cama_contact_form/admin_forms/responses.html.erb

Thanks Owen!

However I guess it should be possible to override it through themes so I can have different contact_form responses for different themes.

Hi Guys, is a there a way to create menu with rel=nofollow for external links?
Brian Kephart

I ran the spec using Ruby 3 today. There are a bunch of failures, all due to argument forwarding in Draper. Once Draper is updated, then Camaleon will be compatible.

Hi,it
Is it possible to use one language per admin? Or all admins must use the same language.
Thanks
