@programbo
You could probably fit a keg back there
But no humans
Kory Nunn
@KoryNunn
Humans fit, just not comfortably if they are tall
I have a friend who is very small and she has no issues fitting
I've had 4 normal humans in it at once, that was... interesting..
John Lombardo
@programbo
If they are that small they should probably have a child seat
Adam Brady
@SomeoneWeird
burn
?
lol
John Lombardo
@programbo
I like the idea of “normal human” being a metric
Kory Nunn
@KoryNunn
remembering the front seat moves
car has 4NH of seating :P
John Lombardo
@programbo
Hahha
Kory Nunn
@KoryNunn
@lukebrooker the end result is yes, i can pick you up, if you dont mind being a little cramped.
John Lombardo
@programbo
Everyone loves a happy ending

Next time I should make sure I hang around after asking a question.
Sounds great @KoryNunn, thanks.

@DamonOehlman uhh, you need an invite to View Source's slack to get into the #campjs room and there's no obvious way to get in?
Luke Brooker
@lukebrooker
Yeah, I found the same thing. Probably should include this link too http://view-source-radboats.herokuapp.com/
Damon Oehlman
@DamonOehlman
I did think of that after I sent the email... don't really want to spam people but if there is a way to let people know that isn't a broadcast channel that would be awesome...
Ghost
@ghost~54615047db8155e6700d3760
Ahh, I figured they had an invite form somewhere but my google foo failed me
Paul
@whatevergeek
btw, anyone bringing musical instruments in the camp? will there be jamming sessions? :-)
Kevin Vanderbeken
@iamkevinv
I could bring an ukulele again - but i haven’t played in quite some time again
Paul
@whatevergeek
cool... i'll try to bring my uke too
Anna Gerber
@AnnaGerber
I will also bring a uke. Have a couple of spares if anyone else wants to play too :)
Kevin Vanderbeken
@iamkevinv
:D
ukes!
John Lombardo
@programbo
@whatevergeek Catch you in the morning! I'll look for somewhere with powerpoints ;)
Paul
@whatevergeek
sure... see you tomorrow @programbo ... @timoxley is also in the same plane now :-)
John Lombardo
@programbo
Alright, doors are about to close. Gotta shut down before my phone makes the plane flip over on the runway or something.
John Lombardo
@programbo
@whatevergeek where are you? what are you wearing? want some company?
Paul
@whatevergeek
ooops... sorry just found this... anyway, eventually met the group :-)
Anna Gerber
@AnnaGerber
@programbo I had some aquaponics sensors at the wearables session but didn't get a chance to show you. The blog post I wrote about gardening with JS has been published here: https://www.packtpub.com/books/content/internet-peas-gardening-javascript-part-1
John Lombardo
@programbo
Thanks @AnnaGerber! Once again I was totally unprepared for the amount of stuff I wanted to do at CampJS.
@AnnaGerber What sort of sensors and actuators were you using for the aquaponics? Temperature and a relay for the water pump are the first things to spring to mind...
Anna Gerber
@AnnaGerber
@programbo Yeah, I have a float switch and a 5V pump on a relay plus a water temperature probe. I have a soil moisture sensor (which turns out isn't much use for aquaponics), plus a more precise water level sensor but the float switch is simpler. I also have an ozone sensor and ozone generator that I was going to hook up to enhance the plant growth, but turns out ozone is awful stuff to be around if you're not a plant, so the generator will most likely go on ebay. I wanted to do pH too but the sensors are too pricey. None of it is "in production" so to speak because I need to finish the waterproof enclosure for the electronics before it gets installed.
John Lombardo
@programbo
Yeah, I was looking at pH sensors for my aquarium! I decided that I would just dump in a couple spoonfulls of pH regulator every time I do a water change :)
When my 3D printer finally arrives, I think it will be a good way to create custom waterproof containers
Probably also worth investigating that water displacing gel that you get in scotch locks
David Mason
@davidmason
Sounds like I will need to talk to you guys about an idea for a future campjs - will need some sensor+wifi modules that can be put outside without dying.
John Lombardo
@programbo
When I make my Aliexpress order, I will get a couple spare cheap boards and some dielectric grease to try to murder them with nature.
Anna Gerber
@AnnaGerber
It's a pity we couldn't get access to the sensor data from Springbrook, so many sensors already in place up there https://springbrookrescue.org.au/WirelessSensorNetwork.html
John Lombardo
@programbo
Wow! Can that data be accessed with requests through proper channels?
Or is it not live data? Recorded and batched?
Anna Gerber
@AnnaGerber
Yes, when I was at UQ there was a PhD student in the same research group who was working with snapshots of the data provided by the CSIRO. You can read about it here http://arxiv.org/pdf/1411.2188.pdf
@DamonOehlman mentioned something about trying to get access to the data but it didn't happen in time for CampJS
John Lombardo
@programbo
Well, no one can say that there wasn’t enough to do over the weekend :)
Damon Oehlman
@DamonOehlman
Yeah we came really close to getting it. Tracked down the right people at CSIRO who had worked on the project, but needed the QLD government to release the data and it all went quiet on their end :(
Ghost
@ghost~54615047db8155e6700d3760
The worst part is I know the guy who set up the system and still has remote access and didn't realise until after the camp.
