I'm trying to document the signature for define.get
but I'm not sure what I should call the 2nd argument
get( lastSetValue, setValue )
is what I originally had, but I'm not sure I like setValue
b/c this isn't updating the lastSetValue

value, setValue
setValue matches the setter

I don't like value / setValue

they do the same thing, right?

b/c I want to make sure it's well understood they are different
their signatures are very similar ... but they do different things
so a setter sets the "internal value"
the lastSetValue
and a getter basically sets the value the outside world sees
for example, I can set lastSetValue to a compute()
the getter will get that compute
and can return the value in the compute
getter's return does not update the lastSetValue
hence why I don't want them both having setValue
I think I'll do setAttrValue

@matthewp are there any potential problems with backward compatibility when migrating 2.1.4 -> 2.2.1?

There shouldn't be, it's tested against 2.0.5 tests to make sure backwards compatibility isn't broken
If you find something not working it's a bug

Can I get a custom tag’s attribute value inside a function that creates scope? Typically I’d use title: “@“ inside my scope object? http://jsfiddle.net/qYdwR/2445/

@patrickclancy use stache
and read this if you wanna know the reason of your problem: http://canjs.com/docs/can.stache.html#section_Differencesfromcan_mustache

@akagomez Is that the only way? Seems the value should be part of attrs. We can’t move to stache for now. We’ve got hundreeds of templates.
