http://jsbin.com/yuxisofaka/edit?html,js,console,output Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong with {{promise.isPending}}?
upgraded your version of CanJS
and used can.ajax to make the XHR request

jQuery doesn't return promises
(you can convert it to if needed)
I think there's a makePromise

@frank-dspeed I'm not sure what that means
do you have a jsbin somewhere?

i am not sure what that means also its a simple standart component that simply returns undefined :)
no jsbin for that possible i think the error is else where
but the question is how to debug a not rendering component
:D

I'd have to see the example to know where to start

its bitballs can3
simply whanted to change the home component (add it)
in default it shows tournaments/list have created components/home
and replaced the route :)
so there is nothing special in this and i am realy wondering how to debug this because i get no real failure about it

generally speaking, if a component isn't understood, canjs lets you know
if it sees <foo-bar> ... and there's been no definition for <foo-bar>, it writes out a console.warn
is in this home.js anything missing thats needed ?

generally speaking, you should name your components with a hyphen

can-component.prototype.template: is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Use can-component.prototype.view
dev.js:47 WARN: Set route.data directly instead of calling route.map
steal.js:140 Potentially unhandled rejection [4] {"readyState":4,"responseText":"","status":200,"statusText":"parsererror"} (WARNING: non-Error used)(anonymous function) @ steal.js:140

otherwise, you won't get warnings on elements like <home>

there's an example of a working component
I have to get to bed. Create a forum post and add a link to your forked bitballs and point me at the changes. I might be able to take a look (but not tomorrow ... have a talk to prepare for).

hmmm no thx
it was only a general question was thinking i am wrong
but as there is no warning or anything i consider it a bug
and will investigate into that
even when you get it working its no solution no one can use it without debug options

@phillipskevin did you get around to implementing %arguments, i.e.:
<my-component (foo)="bar(%arguments)" />

@justinbmeyer I was referring to hybrid apps as in cordova or nw. Any css / html / ui frameworks come to mind that’ll hook up nicely w/ can or that are otherwise in the skunkworks?
Can + Ionic seems relatively straight forward
