I think we are not intentionally supporting Bower
but the packages can still be installed with Bower using github URLs
or the github shorthand like @matthewp mentioned

Hey guys, If I have an existing var MyMap = DefineMap.extend... object, can I do MyMap.exend() and replace existing properties with different types, default values, setters..etc?

yes
you’ll overwrite the entire PropDefinition
like… it won’t use type from the child and set from the parent or anything like that
