how come when I splice it removes the item from the view but not from the actual array?

I think it’s just happening asynchronously
so when you log it out synchronously it’s still the pre-spliced value

i dont think this is the case because a minute later, i send this data with ajax and it remains unchanged

i just noticed delete = false on the object later
so for some reason it does not properly update the list

you’re right… that isn’t correct
can you create a simplified example in JSBin?
it’s hard to tell what’s going on from that snippet

I am pretty sure I could not recreate this
but the idea is, when a button is clicked i find the item and i remove it. the data originates from a can-connect call

@phillipskevin 🙋🏾 great meeting you! turns out it's possible to search for issues at the canjs org level's search bar. I can also seach for canjs as the user, and everything comes right up :)
Most of the issues have been assigned but I'll check it out from time to time to see if I can help in any way :)

I left a couple of questions in the forum, feel free to take a look. The first one is related to extending a ViewModel’s getter and the second one about how should .isPending and .isRejected should be used. Thanks again!
I’m using donejs but it seems to me that this is within the scope of canjs

Hi @morrme, it was great meeting you too! Glad it was easy to find issues that way. Looking forward to your contributions. Let us know if there’s anything we can do to help.

@pYr0x the ability to call helpers in call expressions is now in can 3.8.1, so toggles using set and not in stache now work. Check it out: https://jsbin.com/yatopequre/1/edit?html,js,console,output
(Making a compute out of the argument to not with ~ is necessary because it's expecting a compute and calling it as a function)
