@roemhildtg Sorry I missed your message yesterday about can vs. react perf.
I just ran that jsbin in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, and consistently saw can be the fastest of the three ¯_(ツ)_/¯
That said, it’s with can 3.2, react 15.5, and angularjs 1.4, so I don’t know what it looks like with newer versions of those dependencies.
…and like Brad said, benchmarks like those are mostly meaningless… I think in context, that one is trying to show how our approach of minimally updating the dom will mostly beat out diffing like react (or watching like angularjs)
Also, about PATCH with can-connect; I can’t seem to find an issue for it (please file one if you get a chance), but I think we’ve talked about this before and have considered the upcoming can-set changes a prerequisite before adding PATCH support.
