"parentNode is null" ?
a workaround for this is wrapping it in a <div>, what is the "correct" way ?

can you explain the issue you're having a little more @qantourisc ?

Not in great detail, not until I debug / testcase this. Roughly: flush > oncomplete > flush > oncomplete > flush > updatenodelist > replace
I got a can.Component that looks like "{{if show}}<...>{//if}}". (Also version 4 btw.)

what did you wrap in a <div> to work around it?

Ok, I have more information now on it's occurrence:
It requires a component with a stache like:
{#if(show)}}<span on:click='do()'>Doit</span>{{/if}}
viewmodel do: function(){ this.value = "test"} , show:{ get: function() return !this.value }
And you have to bind the vm:value:bind="something" from the stache where you initiate this instance.

Also, we’re now on Slack too! I posted about it on our forums: https://forums.donejs.com/t/you-re-invited-to-bitovi-s-community-slack/1018

Traced it back further, it's related to my scoped / proxy / view. If that is in between things break. Some unintended race condition ?
