    The native Python visualization library is Bokeh, but it looks like it's a step under D3. http://bokeh.pydata.org/

    The Bennett Freeman lunch sold out, so World Affairs Council added a second event - Thursday 7:30am-9:00am with Bennett Freeman, Leola Ross (Capital Markets Research, Russell Investments), Steve Lippman (Corporate Citizenship, Microsoft). It's at Russell (2nd & Union). Wanna go? https://world-affairs.secure.force.com/events/CnP_PaaS_EVT__ExternalRegistrationPage?event_id=a1Md000000kqNiKEAU

    @caseymacphee What's your plan this morning? We've got 50 points at stake with green_quote, but the cutoff for homework precedes it. I just want to get one more done, but understand if that can't happen./

    The cuttoff for homework is tomorrow at noon fyi, it got changed. I’m ready to start rolling on the project at 9-10, and nail out something we can show before getting back on the homework track

    @caseymacphee I wanted to give you the interface to the Ajax code I added, so that you can work on your side when you have time. First, the thing that I'm expecting back is a string of html; you've got to be the one pulling it out of pandas or sql or wherever. You should put an id= "companydata" tag on what you want displayed. What you'll receive, and what you need to generate is a Flask route for a GET request in the form "/lc.html?sym=" which will then be followed by the nnnn:xx form of unique identifier.(eg, /lc.html?sym=TSL) I'm going to push the code I have now up. There are still some formatting things wrong in the CSS, but it does display much better

    @caseymacphee I just saw that you are using JSON instead of HTML. You probably told me this. No problem. But, I'm going to use a loop like the one writing out the stocks to just dump a list. that's the plan. So, it's still on my side.

    @CharlesGust
    @caseymacphee will push now. See if you can figure out why the route isn't being found. Then, we'll have to writing a little display code tomorrow.

    Doing some work on documentation. Allong with the one off error somewhere, there is an error with retrieving the data with a .TO or V from the database. Im going to track down where that request is being made.

    Check out the new branch ‘bug fixes’, I fixed the bug that left all the canadian indexes unreachable. Also removed the colon to underscore conversion because we realized that wasn’t the bug, it was that I had forgotten to pass in the id to the function. Doh!
    I suggest we merge it to master
