    @tags07
    @Prem-kumar27 Here's our website: https://opencensus.io and here's our git repos: https://github.com/census-instrumentation . What specific detail were you looking for? you can also reach out to the mentors if you need clarification. For Java it would be Dino and Python would be Angela

    Hello, I'm an undergraduate of Computer Science and Engineering of University of Moratuwa. I'm interest in the project "Instrument/Integrate OpenCensus with other opensource frameworks" in GSoC. How can I begin contributing? How to gather requirements ?
    Further Is there any particular format of the proposal ? If so sharing here will be so helpful most of us,
    Gopi Palaniappan

    @NGimhana Here's the Student Guide: https://google.github.io/gsocguides/student/
    Have a look at the documentation on https://opencensus.io and code on github: https://github.com/census-instrumentation
    Think about what problem you are solving, what is missing today and how OpenCensus can help

    @tags07 what is the preferred method for submitting a draft proposal?
    umar abdullahi
    @umarbrowser
    hi there
    Freddy
    @freddygv
    @tags07 one more question actually, I heard that MS is working on an opencensus library for .net, do you happen to know who over there is involved in that? thanks!
    if they have a repo for it, they haven't made it public
    Freddy
    @freddygv
    actually, I was able to get in touch with them.. they still haven't even determined how involved they want to be with opencensus
    would still like to know about the draft submission process though, different organizations have different preferences for this
    Gopi Palaniappan
    @tags07
    @apherio Don't want to change to a different framework at this time. I'll take a look at gatsbyjs. it did look interesting :)
    @freddygv you should ask about .Net in Lobby: https://gitter.im/census-instrumentation/Lobby
    @freddygv i think you can submit it on the GSoC site and mark it as draft or final.. https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/

    @umarbrowser We have had several interest in Python Stats at this point. This may already been taken. We will review all proposals after March 27th and decide as per the process.

    Thanks to all the folks who submitted their proposals. Today is the last day for submissions. We will start reviewing them thru April 17th
    I'd also like to point out that as a first time org this year, we may only get 1-2 slots. In case your proposal is not accepted, please do not feel disheartened. You could always submit your contributions on github and be part of the opencensus developer community. We'll find ways to reward you for your contributions.

    @tags07
    We got one slot this year. We'll review all the proposals and pick one that has the most impact to the project. Please do not feel bad if your project was not selected. You are always welcome to contribute outside GSoC program.

    Quick update on the project we selected. Thanks to all those who sent in your proposals. We received around 14 proposals and had just one slot to fill this year. We decided to go with Website conversion to Hugo and enabling markdown to make it easy to edit pages. There were several proposals around Python, Nodejs which is already being implemented this quarter so we had to lower the priority on those proposals. As mentioned earlier, you are always welcome to contribute to the project outside the GSoC framework.
