I still must see if this fits all my needs, but it seems to have an overall better user experience than the IRC channel

Lets see if this can lead to something...

What about some(code)-sample?
I don't know if we can do multi-line:
   if (possible)
      System.out.println("It is possible, in compose mode");

I can see it in the web (open as well), but it doesn't surface on IRC
Samuel Tardieu

Jun 14 2015 20:36
What do you mean "does not surface"?
rsudev
@rsudev
Jun 14 2015 20:36
Currently nothing comes through at all, it seems
Strange

Strange. What happens if you post some inline code? (inside backquotes)

I just now realize, that non of your post actually show up on IRC - I just read them only in the web window I have open as well :(

rsudev
@rsudev

Testing once more.
And now answering back to the IRC client...
Seems I have the same issue like @rsudev where nothing goes back to the IRC client, while the other direction works.

Actually I now see a comment in my IRC window: <gitter> [Github] cgeoCI commented on a commit in cgeo/cgeo https://github.com/cgeo/cgeo/commit/ce99b703b60eddad55fa48fefadb7cdbf4a6bc93#commitcomment-11671413
I will let this IRC connection stay open and close the browser, maybe IRC doesn't get notified if you are logged in with both
@rsudev I see you joined
