@oyvindberg Yes I think so - I'm using a MuiDrawer for the drawer itself. Then inside that I did originally have an array of MuiMenuItem using checkedproperty to show selection - that works but to be honest I think it looks a little bit weird, and the drawer is not really a menu. Looking at the Material-UI docs page, they use a SelectableList containing ListItems, which look nicer. I was thinking that ListItem would have a selected property but they don't - I guess in plain Material-UI the selection is controlled by the SelectableList.value property? Without that, ListItem doesn't really seem to do selection...

@oyvindberg I think there might be a problem with MuiMenuItem actually - on Material-UI menu docs there is space on menu items for the checkmark, so the text doesn't move around when you check/uncheck an entry, but MuiMenuItem doesn't have that, so it just jumps across when selected, which looks bad.
@oyvindberg Ah no, my fault - apparently you need to set insetChildren to true to allow space for the check, when it's not there :)
