    I'm trying to find a hotel that is somewhat inbetween CodeFest location and BOSC .. any advice?
    Spencer Bliven
    @sbliven
    @stain if you find something good, you might want to post it on the wiki so people can coordinate rides

    @cjfields I'll miss you - we had such a great session last year!

    Stian -- I booked an AirBnb near BOSC for Peter and I. The plan is to take the train up to Codefest the first two days then be able to walk to the conference. The train system between the two is meant to be good and they're not close enough to make staying in between that convenient (unless you have a car, I guess).

    @martenson
    The locations are split by the historic center, I wouldn't recommend driving.
    Christian Brueffer
    @cbrueffer
    Indeed, public transport in Prague is excellent.

    hi. where is the CodeFest location and the timetable for it please? thank you.

    Timetable: 2017-07-20 morning - 2017-07-21 late

    not sure how early we can start? I'll be there from 9 probably.

    The logistics also say from 9am on the Thursday - and finish 18:00 on Friday

    @code56
    many thanks for this. I am looking forward to it.

    @chapmanb what can I use as academic citation for bcbio-nextgen? Just https://github.com/chapmanb/bcbio-nextgen ?
    Brad Chapman
    @chapmanb
    That would be perfect. We don't have a paper or pre-print, so the GitHub URL is perfect. I need to move it over to the bcbio organization but it'll redirect so that's all good.
    Stian Soiland-Reyes
    @stain
    great
    perhaps a quick submission to Journal of Open Source Software ..? :)
    Brad Chapman
    @chapmanb
    Thanks, we'd like to write up and publish at some point but just haven't prioritized it. Hopefully can be a slightly bigger paper with the work put into it.
    Stian Soiland-Reyes
    @stain
    I have the same problem.. but then writing bigger papers take more planning and effort. JOSS papers can be almost like abstracts, but hey, you get a old-school DOI with new-school double-open peer review and open source software.
    Here's one I reviewed about ReproZip: https://doi.org/10.21105/joss.00107
    so not much problem of double-publishing as a 'classic' journal paper would be significantly different
    there's a JOSS talk at BOSC :) by @pjotrp

    Does anybody know how it is with parking around the brmlab for codefest?
    Martin Cech
    @martenson
    ad parking: found this - https://brmlab.cz/place
    Brad Chapman
    @chapmanb
    Sorry Martin, missed your question earlier. I don't anything about driving there but sounds like it might be tricky. I've been planning on public transport.

    Galaxy folks plan to organize an informal event during the ISMB. If you are interested in getting together for a dinner please let us know by Friday: http://bit.ly/ismbdinnerpoll #usegalaxy

    I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next week in Prague. I sent out an e-mail to everyone with logistics and planning: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/openbio-codefest-2017/0QA1xxIIDKo Please ask if you have any questions at all.

    Thanks for sending the reminder Brad. I have added my name in the provided excel sheet as a participant in the code fest. Is there anything else needs to be done for registration? Cheers

    Farah -- that's all you need for signing up, we just try to track numbers for ordering food. Glad you're coming and looking forward to seeing you in Prague.

    @FarahZKhan
    Thanks Brad :) Yes I am also very excited as this will be my first time participating in Bosc and codefest. See you guys in Prague

    The ideas sheet for the BOSC codefest has what they claim is a link to the workflow for the next DREAM challenge - https://www.synapse.org/#!Synapse:syn8507133/wiki/415976 - but I register and I still don't actually see workflows. Am I incompetent or are they not ready yet?
    Denis Yuen
    @denis-yuen
    Why not both? (j/k)
    The challenge isn't quite ready yet, I think that's the production site
    workflows under 3.3
    John Chilton
    @jmchilton
    True about it being both :D - let me rephrase that - "Is this just another example in a long line of examples of my incompetence or are they not ready yet?"
    Great - I requested access ;) - if I have time I'd like to get a running start on doing this for Galaxy for at the codefest if they are not ready in time though I can just fine some simple workflows to test since we don't run any CWL workflows yet :D
    Brad Chapman
    @chapmanb
    They're not quite ready but almost. Aiming for next week, but most things work (except I broke the bcbio one right before, fixing now). There is a Slack you can ping folks to give you access for testing: https://ga4gh-challenge.slack.com
    Denis Yuen
    @denis-yuen
    I think a couple of the workflows in the challenge are wdl, but I haven't tried that. But I'm guessing you're looking for a galaxy descriptor (?)
    John Chilton
    @jmchilton
    No - I want CWL descriptors - I just wanted to use these examples to guide my addition of CWL workflow support to Galaxy
    Denis Yuen
    @denis-yuen
    Ah cool
    Brad Chapman
    @chapmanb
    If you want bcbio ones, I have a small self contained test one here: https://github.com/bcbio/test_bcbio_cwl The GA4GH one is a bit bigger and is here: https://github.com/bcbio/bcbio_validation_workflows
    John Chilton
    @jmchilton
    @chapmanb I like self contained and small - thanks for the link that looks great! I'll open a PR to have Galaxy added to that list by the end of the ISMB :laughing:
    Brad Chapman
    @chapmanb
    Perfect, I look forward to testing it next week.
