@VoidVolker even if you tell me to check step by step, something is not making sense. if i can be more specific i'll try this even though it is very simple:
textbox says: "Enter ID" on load then when any button is pressed the text box clears and replaces the "Enter ID" with the number from the pressed button.
The ID's are multidigit so i need it to go from "Enter ID" to something like "1337"

@Mynewlife no, there is nothing special you need - you can easy clear text box

@VoidVolker I know it is easy, but the order it needs to be in doesn't seem to be compliant with my programming :/

press button -> clear text box and add digit | that is how it needs to be

but it only needs to clear the textbox once and it doesn't :/

well, i have an issue where i try to add a data source and for some reason the connection is fine but it won't add the data source because "you already have a useable connection"..

i was, but the connection i was making had not been previously used and i do not understand what the problem is ...

i did not have one prior to my setup - that is the weird part -- if i already have a connection, shouldn't it show up somewhere?

if it already created - you need to use it

i can't use it. i try to make it run a query through a button action, but i don't see the information the schemas contain.

and when i try to edit the connection in the designer in VS2015 it pops up an error telling me that it can't read the database.
