I'm trying to make a RESTful service that can accept arbitrary parameters, such that its PUT and POST method signatures end in **kwargs. It's not working: whenever I supply the parameter 'command' the server raises the exception "TypeError: Chunk 'command' is not of type 'bytes'." I'm using python3 and the code seems to suggest that this is a py3 specific error, like I have to force the params to bytes, but when I do that on the client end, the exception's the same. What do I have to do to make the server take these parameters?

I'm not having much luck finding documentation on the various cherrypy.tools
