Cameron Higby-Naquin
@chigby
Just created the chat room.
Jeferson Perito
@jefperito
hi there :), it's a good feature to discuting stuff :)
Cameron Higby-Naquin
@chigby
Yeah, I hope it will make discussing things easier, and a lot of projects seem to have one, so might as well!
Erik Osheim
@non
have you seen this? http://mtgjson.com/
(also, hi)
Cameron Higby-Naquin
@chigby
Hi
I have seen that -- it's possibly more useful than what we're doing here, but the use cases don't totally overlap
Last I looked we are both just scraping the official Wizards website for the card data
Erik Osheim
@non
yeah, fair enough.
as long as your scraping is working, seems fine to just keep doing it. also you can avoid downloading all the JSON at once
Cameron Higby-Naquin
@chigby
What would be cool is to use mtgjson as a basis for some kind of web api (which Wizards steadfastly refuses to provide)
Erik Osheim
@non
Yeah, seems like it would be pretty easy to do
Jeferson Perito
@jefperito
i agree, maybe we can make something to read the json as stream instead whole data.
Philipp Dargel
@chisui
hey, is anyone still working on this?
Cameron Higby-Naquin
@chigby
Hey, even though it may not seem like it, I am still alive!
