@ferventcoder Any idea why I'm not getting "Owners" back from Chocolatey?

Holy edge cases batman
So, chocolatey doesn't return Owners from the API. And the only reason we were getting that information in the local view previously is because I was reading the package info off disk and merging it with Chocolatey's Feed Results.
Eeeyup. That's exactly what it is.

@RichiCoder1 I haven't checked, but is there Maintainers from the Choco API? Owners = Maintainers

Nah. Maintainers is purely UI parlance. It's all owners under the covers.

@pascalberger Just pushed a big change that should make sources support more solid. Still pretty happy path atm, but supports Priority and Disabled, as well as editting sources.

@RichiCoder1 something we need to provide still in the package metadata (it's honestly quite annoying that it is not there)

@RichiCoder1 Mmmh, just installed ChocolateyGUI.0.14.0-unstable0152 but couldn't see a difference regarding sources

They should be ordered by priority and hide if disabled. Are they not?
Should also have a new tab in settings

@RichiCoder1 sounds like the upgrade isn't replacing the existing installed MSI

Dec 20 2016 20:22
@pascalberger Are you just using choco upgrade?
Pascal Berger

Dec 20 2016 20:22
I tried choco uninstall first
Richard Simpson
@RichiCoder1
Dec 20 2016 20:22
Or doing a full uninstall & reinstall?
Pascal Berger
@pascalberger
Dec 20 2016 20:23
ah wait, after a choco uninstall, there still are two entries in programs & features
Richard Simpson
@RichiCoder1
Dec 20 2016 20:23
Well that's just bizzare.
I will note that I don't 100% know the affects of attempting to install a newer msi over an older one out of the unstable line. As far as MSI is aware, you're just repairing (or already installed) ChocolateyGUI. Will need to figure that out at some point....

Dec 20 2016 20:24
ah, now I got the changes
no idea from where these two entries came from. if I now uninstall the entry in programs & features got removed properly

shrug
One of my todos is to spin up a fresh VM and test some install/uninstall/upgrade scenarios.

But I introduced an error in the chocolateyInstall script through chocolatey/ChocolateyGUI#361. chocolatey/ChocolateyGUI#363 will fix it
