@RichiCoder1 @gep13 what's up with the latest chocolateyGUI prerelease (285)? and how do I see what code that ties back to?
Dies immediately on an XML XAML parse
actually, I may have found one of my problems (bad setting in licensed v1.12.0)

Seriously though, how do I link a GUI build back to source? If you don't have a way to do this from the installation itself, let's file an issue

@ferventcoder doesn't the build supprt GitLink? Never used it myself though, so don't know how it's used

@gep13 would have that answer...

As you can see, not that helpful in the current context. Include the commit sha (use git describe to build your version)

That shouldn't, in theory, be hard. @gep13 would indeed be the person to poke, but if he doesn't get around to it I'll look into it :)

Any links I can look at for now to know what I'm installing?

If I'm unserstanding everything correctly, it just looks like the different libraries dob't use a common fil with the a ser of common assembly attributes, but rather just use their own AssemblyInfo.cs file which isn't updated by gitversion on build. (Well the main one is though). I suggest perhaps extracting common Assembly attributes to their own file (Like, AssemblyCoyright, AssemblyVersion, AssemblyVersion, etc. Oike what's done in The Cake software, or most of their available addins), then just link that file to each Assembly.
I should really stop typing on my mobile, I never get it right. Basically, extracting common assembly attributes to its own file and linking to it in all of the assemblies should fix the screenshot you post. IMO
