@/all We deployed out some changes to help stabilize the site at 12:15 UTC (6:15 AM UTC), but unintentionally we caused all dependencies to stop working. So if you use the community repository (https://chocolatey.org/api/v2), you will have seen some "Unable to resolve dependency" errors (https://github.com/chocolatey/chocolatey.org/issues/765). We've backed out the affected code, redeployed, and verified it's working again.

Our plan is to reintroduce the use index changes to the community production site once we ensure that the skip token is working correctly. Please continue to monitor https://status.chocolatey.org as we continue to provide updates.

@/all PSA: Last night around 23:10 UTC we deployed a change that caused asking for packages by version to stop working for the #Chocolatey community repository. After reports from users, that was fixed by 13:54 UTC. Apologies we didn't see the issue sooner.

@pauby Hi, I made some change to cchoco dsc module and want to share with you and may be merge it to main project. Changes: ("install multiple version of application" - it's necessary if you want install something like .net runtime; "install choco from nuget server directly" - change flow of installing choco from 'DSC > download install.ps1 > download zip > extract choco' to 'DSC > download nupkg (from repo with auth optionally) > install', I did install choco because I get 429 error on web server in my env)
Paul Broadwith
@pauby
@wizarden1 The best way to start would be to open an issue to discuss the changes.

@/all cChoco currently is unable to install Chocolatey with the script on the community repo - it was adjusted for security reasons and unfortunately how cChoco works, it conflicts with the security fix. Details and workaround at chocolatey/cChoco#151

hi folks
I'm pretty new to the stack, but digging it
I do work for a NFP org - Makerspace doing STEM ed - and need to rebuild a few laptops
they're all W10, so no apt-get, but this seems like a smart move
I'd like to build a script I can pop on the local NAS and run to install a standard set of apps across the board, and use that to update any that requires it
ideally I'd like to have some lightweight (flask?) web app to pick & choose from a pre-selected list that could tell me which requires updating & can build the script for me
Paul Broadwith
@pauby
@makerjakes:matrix.org Are you going to be using DSC for this?
