I'd need to dig into that again, but I was left with the impression that more could be done to enhance the user experience.

hey, what is the gitter channel to talk about community packages?
I have a package failing here (https://chocolatey.org/packages/ags/3.5.0.25) due to vcredist140 package.

I'm following this carefully, but LibreOffice may be only offered as a rolling release branch now: now more still, no more fresh.
LTS will remain the exclusive of partners of the ecosystem like Collabora Office.

@pauby I have well received your emails wrt. openvpn. Sorry I wasn't able to respect the deadline I proposed in the comment section. Had a domestic incident and lost usage of my right hand. Was busy with medical operation stuff :/ Will check at it since I now have "free" time. Typing at one hand is weird but I'm still managing to code ^^

@pauby
@wget I'm just getting to this now. I'm sorry to hear about what happened. I hope things improve soon!

can we have access to a debug rdp for the core team packages? Libreoffice is not updating while locally on my side it is

@gep13
@wget just to confirm, are you testing with the Chocolatey Test Environment locally?
William Gathoye
@wget
yes i'm it complains the au worm is not found
maybe i'm gonna reclone the vagrant env and start from scratch

@mark-sellars
Hey William I got your reply on the Libre package
thanks so much for the responses by the way!
William Gathoye
@wget
@mark-sellars no issue, tryin my best to address any question, especially with that package which has quite a lot of traction :p
Mark Sellars
@mark-sellars
@wget One thing I can do for you if you want is we can use something like Jitsi meet and you can try it out on my environment.
William Gathoye
@wget
oh sure we can, but jitsi meet is just audio and sharing a screen and doesn't (afaik) offer remote control like teamviewer and the like?
i'll be back in 45 min. if you don't mind :)
Mark Sellars
@mark-sellars
@wget Yeah, if there is another application you like let me know. I have blue jeans and webex available at work. What ever I want available at home.

We are following in DM to avoid the noise. We will write down the solution here wrt this issue after the meeting :)

@wget
Ok. Meeting with @mark-sellars finished. He will provide me with the logs. On my side, I filled a request to the Choco sales team in order to get a Pro and a C4B license from you @ferventcoder =)

Hey, my ags package is failing on test again but I don't understand what is wrong
Érico Vieira Porto
@ericoporto
Sorry, I can't reproduce the Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.PowerShell.Security, Version=5.0.0.0' or one of its dependencies. and similar errors, I thin it's something with the test environment.
Gary Ewan Park
@gep13
@ericoporto have you tested your package using the test environment?
Érico Vieira Porto
@ericoporto
It doesn't match the output I am seeing in the gist file.
Also if I do a rerun I just get a different gist file, most of them just stop at a point without any messages, it's weird because this isn't even installing my package, it's a different package that is my dependency.
And the other package IS approved.
Érico Vieira Porto
@ericoporto
I am fairly sure the error is in dotnet4.5 installation but I can't reproduce - things are working in my end.
Gary Ewan Park
@gep13
@ericoporto can you confirm if you have tested with this: https://github.com/chocolatey-community/chocolatey-test-environment
William Gathoye
@wget
@pauby I have working packages for OpenVPN (sill unpublished). I asked a few friends of mine to test them on their Windows fleet, but it is broken on Intune based env.
I cannot find the culprit, can I just release them as it in order to avoid again postponing that much expected release?
Paul Broadwith
@pauby
@wget If they work through Chocolatey and pass the Validator and Verifier I don't see any reason why you wouldn't publish them.
William Gathoye
@wget
Ok :)
Paul Broadwith
@pauby
@wget No updates on OpenVPN as yet and no new packages pushed?

Hi all, is this the right place to talk about the chocolatey-community repository? I have a PR submitted for a package that I use (k9s) and would like to get it reviewed.

My PR is chocolatey-community/chocolatey-coreteampackages#1668

Kim J. Nordmo
@AdmiringWorm
@SayakMukhopadhyay this is the correct channel yes.
Reviewing the PR for the k9s package is on my TODO list, but unfortunately I have not yet had the time to do so.
Sayak Mukhopadhyay
@SayakMukhopadhyay
Understandable, thanks for the response :)
Though, would you mind discussing about a different package? Its about https://community.chocolatey.org/packages/kubernetes-cli and I have sent a mail to the contact address but didn't get any response. I only discovered this gitter room yesterday so was wondering if someone can give me some feedback regarding an issue with this package.
Sayak Mukhopadhyay
@SayakMukhopadhyay
The kubernetes-cli package has multiple active versions that are supported and sometimes incompatible with each other. As such, it is important to have the latest patch release of the last 3 version of kubernetes-cli (see https://github.com/kubernetes/community/blob/master/contributors/design-proposals/release/versioning.md#supported-releases-and-component-skew). Right now, chocolatey has 1.19.5 while the latest release in the 1.19.x line is 1.19.11 (https://github.com/kubernetes/kubectl/releases/tag/v0.19.11). I was thinking of trying to modify the update code in this package too but I would like some feedback first.
Kim J. Nordmo
@AdmiringWorm
Unfortunately, the contact address isn't actively monitored (it is monitored, but only now and then).
If there is a problem with the package itself, I would recommend to open an issue on the github repository, but you can post the issue you are seeing here as well (if it is a problem with the software, I can't help much as I am not familiar with it).
Sayak Mukhopadhyay
@SayakMukhopadhyay
Ok, I will create an issue for tracking first, thanks for the responses
Sayak Mukhopadhyay
@SayakMukhopadhyay
Created an issue chocolatey-community/chocolatey-coreteampackages#1674. Let me know if this issue is justified and I will try and submit a PR.
Sayak Mukhopadhyay
@SayakMukhopadhyay
Hi
This is regarding the k9s application. I submitted a PR a month ago which handled a recent name change of the generated artifacts. This PR was approved a few days back and now the developer of the package has decided to revert back to the old name scheme. Whats the best way for me to handle this? Should I send a revert request for that PR?
