You will be given a list of commits and you can select what you want to do with them

You should select the commits you want to squash but make sure to keep the one at the top as pick. Your commits need a base to squash to.

See basically to squash your commits put pick in front of your first commit and squash in front of all subsequent commits

Type git rebase - i master then keep pick for your first commit (update Readme) and squash in front of the other 2
Then save the file
Then it will open a window for he commit message of your new commit (one which is squashed)
Type a message that matchs our commit guidelines coala.io/commit
