Oh crap. Create a bug
First do a uncached circle ci build of coala, then coala-bears on your fork
I expect coala will break first, because it uses requests.
Also do an uncached circleci build of your pr

wow, coala is red too
and has to be since it uses requests too
A possible cause could be because of the release happening yesterday https://pypi.python.org/pypi/requests/2.16.0

Yup. So pinning is the worst case solution

Yes, I've tested for version 2.14.2, and the tests pass

No, that is a very bad solution
Find the problem
Pinning creates technical debt
Then someone else needs to find the problem

Have you tried uncached builds of master?
Meet Mangukiya
@meetmangukiya
May 27 2017 08:39
there is no InvalidLinkBear enabled for coala/projects and gitmate has been complaining about it
:/
Yash Nisar
@yash-nisar
May 27 2017 09:03
Seems like an upstream bug
I've manually installed and tried for both verisons of requests
and it does show an error for the latest version on the import statement from requests.packages.urllib3.response import HTTPResponse
However, the error doesn't appear for the version 2.14.2
yash-nisar @yash-nisar gets back to completing his gsoc milestones

See kennethreitz/requests#4069, Vendor packages have been removed so we need to modify our code

err ... that is a simple question ...

@yash-nisar, no pinning
sorry this is a fast moving problem.
Yash Nisar
@yash-nisar

Many repos have been affected
So, this has to be resolved
John Vandenberg
@jayvdb
May 27 2017 15:33
not just our repos -- thousands of other repos
and all of our old releases are also broken
so we must make sure that upstream fixes it
Yash Nisar
@yash-nisar

I meant this has to be resolved from their side since many repos have been affected
