    Fun fact, "undefined is not a function" is the most common javascript error ever in my experience. Check the method, then check the thing with the method.
    Today I encountered a function expecting a false and getting a "false" which, as we know in javascript land, is true.

    Oh, wow. Just realized I posted this in the wrong group - meant to put it in the rails dev group.
    Yeah, I end up checking the line for the error and finding what went wrong myself - the error message is not so helpful.

    Anyone interested in this Code Retreat? It's Nov 14th, a Saturday, and offers free lunch. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/global-day-of-code-retreat-2014-seattle-wa-tickets-13747556311
    "What is a Code Retreat? It is a day long event where software professionals get together to practice their craft without the pressure to deliver. We practice in pairs (rotated throughout the day) solving a set problem under various constraints. It is a great way to stretch yourself, learn from others, and teach. Lunch is provided."

    Hi all,

    There is an old electric bike that has been in the garage for quite some time, and the building management would like it removed ASAP or it will be disposed of.

    If this is your bike, please take it home right away! - Karinne

    Who wants a practice code challenge? I'd be curious to see solutions. Bonus points if you can write a solution, with tests, in one hour.
    # Given an input string and a dictionary of words,
    # segment the input string into a space-separated
    # sequence of dictionary words if possible. For
    # example, if the input string is "applepie" and
    # dictionary contains a standard set of English words,
    # then we would return the string "apple pie" as output.

    # The output string must use all the letters from the input string or fail.
    Mike Taylor
    @sealocal
    Note: That challenge is not an attempt for me to get you to do my work. I already completed my solution.
    Brook Riggio
    @brookr
    Heh, nice one, Mike! Did you get your solution going in under 1h?
    Mike Taylor
    @sealocal
    @brookr In one word... no. I attempted to piece something together with some of the unique ruby methods like those in Enumerable that I had never used. I started considering that there is a little ambiguity in the expected output, and wasn't sure if I should attempt more complex input/output. In the end I was told that my solution did not work for any of the test cases, but I know it worked for the most basic one given here!
