@dcorns
heroku, crashed and then restarted
these logs are useful, but looks like I have some more patching to do. (sigh)
Dale Corns
@dcorns
Ok, so it looks like the connection to the database was lost and as I've been a bit optomistic about that, probably, have not put any error handling in there for it. I will do so and hopefully, it does not happen again any time soon.
Dale Corns
@dcorns
compose may be a bottle neck, they have a production speed database option.
I set up some performance logging.
Chris Tsongas
@tsongas
Maybe if we're on the free plan, the app is going to sleep so when I save from the Angular.js client, the delay while the app starts up causes an error?
I know people use services like Pingdom to ping their free Heroku app every so often to keep it from sleeping.
Dale Corns
@dcorns
I don't think that is it.
The logs indicate that the app lost its connection to the database.
Chris Tsongas
@tsongas
That is disconcerting.
Dale Corns
@dcorns
indeed, but this is the first occurrence. Processed the last class without a hiccup so may have just been a glitch. When the db is not in-house, or the web server for that matter, there is a lot of mystery
Could you send me the snap shot you did on your screen, I do have some error handling in here and it would be good to see how it was handled at your end.
Dale Corns
@dcorns
I am unable to update heroku

[dcorns@loco PGP-WEB-APP]$ git push heroku dcorns:master
Permission denied (publickey).
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

and the repository exists.

any ideas?
Brook Riggio
@brookr
@dcorns Hm, that's odd. You are still on as a collab:
Hm, Github did something with their keys lately, but that shouldn't affect heroku.
Are you still unable to access?
Dale Corns
@dcorns
Yes, I tried redoing keys as well. Still no accress
Brook Riggio
@brookr
hm, shoot, you may need to contact support.
Which of those is the correct email? I'll remove and re-add you as well.
Dale Corns
@dcorns
Brook Riggio
@brookr
Ok, removed and re-added... if that doesn't work, you'll probably need to get in touch with support.
Dale Corns
@dcorns
finally had a chance to get back to the heroku issue...since I had added a key for something else, it started trying to use the wrong key. Created a config file to direct it to the right key.
Brook Riggio
@brookr
oh great.
Dale Corns
@dcorns
@brookr It looks like you have three fake student name in the production db, can I remove them...Looks like I have some late survey submissions from students also. I will take care of that :smile:
Brook Riggio
@brookr
Thanks, Dale! Yes, you can remove my accounts.
I think i sign in with brook@rigg.io.
Dale Corns
@dcorns
@brookr please take a look at waffle/issues and give me priority/add new. Thanks...
