Trying to do SSL just to get experience. I see that you can get a ssl connection to any app you push to heroku but it wouldn't run the javascript in the app for some reason so I'm not sure what exactly is going on.
I think you can get SSL for static files that aren't JS.
I got a message in chrome when I loaded our app with https that said "this page includes script from unauthorized sources."

did you check the protocol on the script tags in your html? any external stuff should use https:// or just // to match.

Check it out everyone, I am making a list of free JavaScript books available at Seattle Public Library online: http://seattle.bibliocommons.com/list/show/85748433_ivanoats/256983217_javascript
includes Backbone Testing by Ryan Roemer
if you are from outside of king county, and need a letter proving you are at Code Fellows, I can make you one, and then you can get a free library card (available to all students in Seattle)
