Ch 10 is long.
I’m going to put off Ch. 11 until we do the D3 day
So we will just discuss ES6 and Binary Trees tomorrow. That will be enough.

@ivanoats is there a list of emails for other accelerators? I need to add a couple UX students to a project and everyone's gone home for the day.

anyone know how to make a CORS request with jquery AJAX?
im getting No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource
think I found it finally. Have to set dataType: 'jsonp'

OK cool. jsonp.jit.su comes up with some other results.

@Talamantez I can extract emails from the applications app but I should ask Lindy’s permission first

@kevinmstephens I had trouble with that pulled posts for a WordPress JSON feed. It required a modification to the server (Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*")

Yeah it's a pain! Thinking it's a good topic for a lightning talk but it would be a lot of work to understand enough to give a presentation
I got it working with jsonp.jit.su though I don't understand what it's doing

used mongoimport function last night to quickly populate a mongodb database with test data took CIMIS.csv, with a headerline of column names, type csv, and inserted into db users, collection hourlyTemps at dbpath ./db
super helpful function on mongo!

Is there a terminal tool to display a visual representation of a binary tree?
Ivan Storck
@ivanoats
Jun 05 2014 16:50
@harberg - you mean more than console.dir, right?
something like ascii art for graphs in an npm module?
Nicholas Harberg
@harberg
Jun 05 2014 16:53
more like ascii art.
Kevin Stephens
@kevinmstephens
Jun 05 2014 16:53
what?
Ivan Storck
@ivanoats
Jun 05 2014 16:53
you want it to print out in the terminal instead of using something like D3 or Raphael?
Kevin Stephens
@kevinmstephens
Jun 05 2014 16:54
no, making an api so client side code can get the data and use D3
Nicholas Harberg
@harberg
Jun 05 2014 16:54
Ideally something less involved than D3.
Ivan Storck
@ivanoats

the open source classic graph visualization tool is graphviz

Jun 05 2014 17:03
@ivanoats So in binary tree we have to store only unique values?
Ivan Storck
@ivanoats
Jun 05 2014 17:03
yes, although in “data”, or other node attributes, you could store a count
Kevin Stephens
@kevinmstephens
Jun 05 2014 17:04
oh ok, and alter the remove function to decrement count or remove node if count gets to 0
same with insert
Robert Talamantez
@Talamantez
Jun 05 2014 17:05
would the count come out during traversal?

MongoDB initializes to 3.3 GB. If you set --smallfile flag it starts at around 500MB.
