What you are describing is WordPress, a cms with a blog and the ability to add/create/edit static pages.
Ghost is fine for nothing but blogging, but won't be easy to add pages without a lot of custom work. It simply isn't designed to do that. You could also use Drupal or Joomla, but those two are simply the worst.
I guess I want WordPress without it being WordPress.
Bottom line, Jekyll wins this round. Nice job Hailey

I'm waging war as we speak on the wordpress front
But I wish I could just use Jekyll :)
@KuroFluff, dont' know what to tell you then buddy. WordPress will do everything you are describing with minimal work and a built in UI that most people can use to edit and create pages and blog posts.
Does anybody know the repo we worked on/cloned from to make that real-time chat program with web sockets? I can't seem to find it in the gitbook or elsewhere locally on my machine :(
Dang, would say yes if it weren't this week. Way too busy this week.
