Are for in loops supposed to be able to return an entire array or do they stop when they find the specific thing you're looking for?

I figured out what I wanted to do without a for in loop. I didn't realize until now if I looped twice I could compare the loops. Honestly every time I figure out one of these homework assignments I'm pleasantly shocked. Still curious about the for in though.

for in is for object
var myObject = {key: 'value', anotherKey: 1};

for (var key in myObject) {
  var value = myObject[key];
}
