Btw, you can try out the svm thing on http://dev.airborn.io. I'd say be creative with equations and graphs or whatever. Older versions of LibreOffice also store normal images in svm, or svg embedded in svm, I don't have an example file of that though so that doesn't work.
Unfortunately it doesn't store shapes and drawings in the format

How do I test it? Open an odt with equations?

How do you use office apps on Firefox OS? Please fill out my survey here: http://goo.gl/forms/7zN70lolUO

Cool! I don't know how GForms works but can you share the results?
Also, you could add a link to a variant of this to Firetext itself (without the do you use Firetext questions)

But I will certainly share results 😊
That's a good idea. We don't have a mechanism for it yet unfortunately
I should im

ATM: we could send the link from the server, but Firetext wouldn't use it

I think I'm almost done with the svm thing at least for now, except for one thing: the svm parser and odt.js are both currently synchronous. But svm's of 3d charts generated by LibreOffice contain embedded bmp's, which Chrome parses synchronously (by setting img.src) but Firefox does not. So either 1) those don't work in Firefox or 2) we switch to an asynchronous api for both svm.js and odt.js or 3) we include a bmp parser in svm.js, do a bunch of extra work, and in the future maybe also include an svg parser. Opinions?
