    That is a Java bug. there is nothing I can do against that. You can downgrade to java 1.8.65
    that is before the bug was introduced

    Is that the case with Max OS X? Should I downgrade as well?
    Actually, is there a page on your website that lists all of the previous versions? Can't seem to find it.

    Whatโ€™s your problem?
    Mac OS X should work fine. cc @oxylis_twitter

    Hi, I have MusicBeam on my archlinux and a few months ago everything was fine but when I started it today it just shows a grey window and the log shows an exception (same exception as below but no Errors before that).
    I tried downgrading Java to 1.8.65 (jre8-openjdk-8.u65-1 and same jre and jre-headless) but afterwards I get the same behaviour and the following log output when starting the program:

    ==== JavaSound Minim Error ====
    ==== Unable to return a TargetDataLine: unsupported format - PCM_SIGNED 44100.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, 4 bytes/frame, little-endian

    === Minim Error ===
    === Minim.getLineIn: attempt failed, could not secure an AudioInput.

    Exception in thread "Animation Thread" java.lang.NullPointerException
    at MusicBeam.setup(MusicBeam.java:80)
    at processing.core.PApplet.handleDraw(PApplet.java:2374)
    at processing.awt.PSurfaceAWT$12.callDraw(PSurfaceAWT.java:1527)
    at processing.core.PSurfaceNone$AnimationThread.run(PSurfaceNone.java:316)

    Do I need another Java version or similar to use MusicBeam?

    @codingjoe
    @JKatXGME that seems to be an issues with our audio devices. Did this error occur with the latest version?
    I think this sould be solved now. If you try plugging and unplugging your line in.

    anyone know if you can set keybinds for the certain effects etc. Strobe = f1 moonflower = f2 ??
    Johannes Maron
    @codingjoe
    @mateuszdybowski_twitter yes there are, but not the function key but the regular numbers. Press 1 for the first effect and so on.

    Hey, First of all: I love the idea of MusicBeam and I would love to use it at my birthday with multible beamers, so I just tried your software.๐Ÿ˜€ At the beginning I downloaded the 64-Bit Version. Im using Windows 10, so that wasn't working and I tried the 32-Bit Version. With a Beamer connected it opened and showed the interface, but there was no picture on the beamer, just my regular desktop. My screen was set to extend to the right, so that cant be the problem. But I noticed, there are two MusicBeam windows opened on the Main-screen. One is the regular interface, the other one is the Stage. But that one is completely transparent and cant be moved to the second screen. Maybe you know what to do and you can help me. I would love to use your software at my Birthday.๐Ÿ˜“ Greetings, Mike

    is it possible to change the audio device of the software so that it takes an audio output and not a microphone ?
