@b20160
did you deploy a service?
CoraxR
@CoraxR
this is valid only for you to upload on your host > curl -X PUT https://mypayid.app/services/your-service-name -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Authorization: Bearer 748c2330-b19d-4e51-adc0-c13159605c26" -d @nginx-service.json
Jonathan Green
@b20160
I know replace the hostname and service.json with urs
CoraxR
@CoraxR
when I visit you host url I see this instruction and I get a unic Authorization: Bearer. When you'd visit my host url you see instruction for my host like this >KUBECONFIG=none kubectl create -f codius-service.yaml -s https://codius.sophix.host/ --token="**"
for deploying with kubectl
Jonathan Green
@b20160
hmmm maybe try a different installer
I got this one to work on ubuntu 16
CoraxR
@CoraxR
@b20160 I just deplyed "test2" and "test3" on your host. You can check with kubectl get all -n codius-system and I guess you can just delete them with kubectl delete service/<name> -n codius-system
Jonathan Green
@b20160
awesome they seem to be working did u try to reinstall codius using the link i provided
also is there anyway to increase the response time so the users isn't looking at loading....
CoraxR
@CoraxR
yep, I will , but first wanna understand what is the problem with old setup> hmmm maybe try a different installer
Jonathan Green
@b20160
kubectl delete service/<name> -n codius-system isn't working
CoraxR
@CoraxR
can you screenshot 'kubectl get all -n codius-system'
Jonathan Green
@b20160
Screen Shot 2020-08-21 at 11.03.24 AM.png
CoraxR
@CoraxR
hmm dont know, can you also try kubectl get all -n --all-namespaces
Jonathan Green
@b20160
No resources found in --all-namespaces namespace.
CoraxR
@CoraxR
this kubectl get all --all-namespaces?
Jonathan Green
@b20160
@wilsonianb how would I go about stopping/removing services from my codius node
Jonathan Green
@b20160
also i can't get codius web to work
and the codius host site is not working
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
@CoraxR I think your host is missing the latest codius-web
You can update by either deleting you existing codius-web pod or running
kubectl scale --replicas=0 -n codius-system deploy/codius-web
kubectl scale --replicas=1 -n codius-system deploy/codius-web
Jonathan Green
@b20160
and what does the route look like
or codius-web.mypayid.app
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
codius-web is the service that provides the frontend for your codius host
https://github.com/codius/codius-web
so just mypayid.app
Jonathan Green
@b20160
it just shows text is that all
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
yep
Jonathan Green
@b20160
is there no gui or config i can use to set price/rates and cpu usage
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
no, there isn't currently an admin ui
Jonathan Green
@b20160
how do I change my nodes rates and cpu usage
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
price can be configured with
kubectl set env -n codius-system deploy/codius-operator SERVICE_PRICE=<deploy-price>

kubectl set env -n codius-system deploy/codius-web REQUEST_PRICE=<your-price>
kubectl set env -n codius-system deploy/codius-operator REQUEST_PRICE=<your-price>
cpu usage isn't currently easily configurable
Jonathan Green
@b20160
what is the price donated in? drops like 1000000 or whole xrp like 1.0
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
probably drops or millidrops, I can try to (remember how to) check
as I mentioned yesterday, a lot of this may switch over to using openfaas cloud
in which case cpu configuration should be more accessible
Jonathan Green
@b20160
ok
is there a way to stop/delete services
i tried kubectl get all -n codius-system but my service doesn't show
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
it would actually be -n codius
but what you really want is
kubectl get services.core.codius.org
the kubernetes deployments and services for a deployed service are spawned from those services custom resources
and to delete:
kubectl delete services.core.codius.org <name>
Jonathan Green
@b20160
awesome thanks
is there a road map for these changes
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
nope
I've got the potential new host setup in progress here: https://github.com/codius/codius-install/tree/openfaas
and here's what a host will likely look like
https://system.of.codiusfaas.net/dashboard/wilsonianb/
Jonathan Green
@b20160
hmmmm so is it worth building on the current codius install
Brandon Wilson
@wilsonianb
I wouldn't recommend it atm
using openfaas will mean a lot of codius will consist of a much better maintained and time tested code base
