pretty much done with stats, going to write the example code for inserting a new parameter
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 05:03
ok, I think I’m done with everything that I have to say. I included a section re: adding a new field at the end of the database section
I left one todo note, which can be found on the third bullet point of the intro - it should just be a one-sentence or so summary of the web interface section
I understand that some of you are working further with professor low’s group on this; could one of ^ subset submit this when it’s ready? thanks
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 05:12
Absolutely, I'll fill that in and submit it! Everyone else done?

@obinnae

Quick question?
what does the M-statistics in "N-scenarios and M-statistics" mean?
I thought we already had a handle on exactly 4 statistics?
yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 05:19
guys i just got back
obinnae
@obinnae
Mar 22 2015 05:19
We missed you man
yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 05:19
what is about stats?
obinnae
@obinnae
Mar 22 2015 05:21
@yaoshenghan check the web interface section and I'd highlight what I'm referring to
in the latex doc
Line 99
yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 05:27
@obinnae i saw the comment but what is it?
@codyhan94
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 05:28
?
why don’t you just put a \todo{foobar} there
what’s up @yaoshenghan
yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 05:29
well i felt that i missed a lot from your guys. did you guys talk about stats part?
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 05:30
the only stats that I talked about was in section 3.3, I described the statistics interface functionality. was there more that you had in mind?
oh you were asking @obinnae what he meant
M stats refers to the M different statistics functions that we are interested in
yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 05:31
that is good not really at this time
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 05:31
@jvanbrug wrote that I think, he should have more to say on that
yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 05:32
yes, that is right
@obinnae i am not sure what Jan is refering here, I think he is refering a functionality that we do not have by now but will be easy to extend with current structure.
obinnae
@obinnae
Mar 22 2015 05:34
Ohhhh. So in the case where we have some new measure (Say peak current or something) added to the back end
yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 05:37
i am not sure if that gonna be new measure or a combination of existing measurements
so is everyone else done with the report?
obinnae
@obinnae
Mar 22 2015 05:38
We scrapped combinations already when we started
yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 05:39
lol, great
so we are done with the report?
could anyone of you guys take care of the report submission just in case you are still working on it? I am going to bed very soon (chicago is midnight already:) )
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:16
haha sorry just got back
i can submit
@yaoshenghan @codyhan94 @obinnae "M statistics" just means that the graphing code doesn't care how many scenarios or stats you ask it to plot
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 06:18
ok
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:18
we're only doing 4 stats for now, and I'll definitely clarify that, as "M" is unclear
4 graphs* for now
@codyhan94 the commands you provided, maybe add which directory they are run from
a little redundant but helpful maybe
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 06:20
are you talking about 3.2 web interface and 3.3 statistics interface
I have lines mentioning “located in foo/bar/baz"
@jvanbrug or is it 3.4 the adding new variables tutorial
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:24
@yaoshenghan @minfawan I changed every instance of "I" and "me" to "we" and "us"
@codyhan94 3.4
@codyhan94 just like "simply run the following in foo/bar"
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 06:25
added the line cd rossiviz
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:26
@codyhan94 or maybe "simply run the following in the django project root directory, containing manage.py"
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 06:26
that should make it clear; it just has to be where the manage.py file is
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:26
cool
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 06:29
don’t think directory adds clarity, makes it look more confusing to me
directory before the $ that is
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:29
k kill it
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:37
@codyhan94 is that N and M section clearer now?
I'm ready to ship it
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 06:39
mhm
it was fine to me all along i think
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:39
cool i'll finish up something else
and then submit it in a bit
just after midnight
if that's fine
or now
if nobody is still making changes
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 06:40
i’m fine
Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:40
okay
submitting now
Cody Han
@codyhan94
Mar 22 2015 06:41

Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:41

Cody Han
@codyhan94

Jan Van Bruggen
@jvanbrug
Mar 22 2015 06:45

g'night!
and great work everyone

yaoshenghan
@yaoshenghan
Mar 22 2015 20:11
@jvanbrug thanks for taking care of the submission and word changing! while i was writing i always interchange the subject between ‘we’ and ‘I’, etc, not careful enought but thank you Jan for taking care of that! :)
Good job guys!
