    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    awesome!!! that worked ;)

    @cayasso
    @carlosforero what do you think about just having one single command address or set-address that can set http, https, bolt (-a, -s, -b)?
    Example
    ineo set-address -a 0.0.0.0:3434 -s localhost:3435 -b 0.0.0.0:3436
    ineo set-address -a 0.0.0.0:3434 -s 3435 -b 0.0.0.0:3436
    ineo set-address -a 3434 -s 3435 -b 3436
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    I like. So, remove set-port ?
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    yep
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    Great, keep simplicity: ineo set-address -a 3434 -s 3435 -b 3436
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    exactly!!!
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    Other feature that I’ve been thinking, is to assign, automatically, a free port when a new instance is created
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    also instead of "ineo versions" which is a little confusing there might be a "ineo ls" as an alias
    and so you can leave "ineo version" for the version it self of ineo
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    ok, however I would like a complete word for the command ineo list, then an alias for this command ineo ls
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    sounds great to me!!
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    can you add these issues ?
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    Sure! will add now
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    What do you think about to assign automatically the port when a new instance is created?
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    I really love this module, its by far the only easy and practical way I have found to test and have multiple Neo4j instances
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    so, when the user creates an instance, then immediately can start it without conflict with another instances
    do you think, this change would be a good idea?
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    check this out https://github.com/tj/n
    its a version manager for NodeJS
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    yes, I see
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    I use n a lot in production I see the same potential for ineo ;-)
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    Nice
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    definitely that would be a great idea!
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    ok, I am adding this issue for v1.2, and your suggestions about set-address, list and version command for v1.2 too
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    great, I am not a bash expert but will try to get the set-address working
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    :+1:
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    Ok I just created the issues in github
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    Yes, and I associated it with v1.2
    Would you like #28 and #29 assigned to you?
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    sure np!

    Hi @carlosforero and @cayasso We will push our PR of the feature branch very soon (Belgium has national holiday right now). This includes setting http/https/bolt ports already. As well as all our other discussed features. You might want to check this out first before doing the same work.
    Nice to see the collaboration for INEO, let's join the effort ! :-)
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    Great @barttv. Yes, I think #26 should wait for your PR. I commented it: cohesivestack/ineo#26
    Jonathan Brumley
    @cayasso
    Awesome guys!
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    @tlauwyck I just saw your PR :-) , Tonight (UTC-5) I’ll test it and I’ll add missing tests.
    tlauwyck
    @tlauwyck
    @carlosforero I just updated my comment on the PR to better reflect what we've done and to clarify what still needs doing. If you experience any issues let me know and I'll free up some of my free time to fix them.
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    ok @tlauwyck

    @carlosforero whenever you have some time can you create feature/v1.2 so I can submit the PR? thanks ;-)
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    Great! Tomorrow I'll create the branch, on sunday I will work on this.
    Carlos Forero
    @carlosforero
    Hello everybody. Since yesterday, I’ve fixed and improved ineo code and tests. Now, all tests are passing correctly, only is missing to add some new tests. then I’ll merge the @tlauwyck pull request and will add new commits on it. So, @cayasso will be able to add code for v1.2. Right now I must switch to other project, but tonight I will add the missing tests.

    Hi Everyone
    Andrew Miller
    @andrewmiller1
    Hey ^^
    Athanasios Anastasiou
    @aanastasiou

    Hello. Is it possible for ineo to:

    1. Start an instance but have its data dir point to a specific location
    2. Use a prepackaged "zip" as the neo4j "distribution", rather than download it
    3. Have "hooks", so that prior to starting an instance, certain tasks are performed.

    For 3, I am running certain tasks that re-use existing static data. When I receive a "job", I create a db directory and copy the state of the static.db database to it. Then, I start the instance and continue from there onwards. If 3 is too complicated, it could be achieved with 2.

    Happy to help too. :)

    Athanasios Anastasiou
    @aanastasiou
    Sorry, got it, number 1 can be solved via NEO4J_CONF, number 2 can be solved via a "hack" of the zip files or a tiny little modification in ineo and number 3 with a script external to ineo. This is a very useful tool for my use case BTW, thank you very much,.
