hello there
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:37
so the "fix" that makes your system think command line scripts are on the command line breaks logins
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:37
ahh
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:37
because the application code doesn't want to create sessions for command line invocations
which is sensible
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:37
yup
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:37
but it relies on being able to tell when you're on the command line accurately
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:38
understood
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:38

alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:38
trying now
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:38
but you get a 500 error on the dashboard
I have no idea why but it seems like Bluehost'ing is kind of broken
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:39
weird - it was working before
maybe they changed something
don't see anything in error_log
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:40
where are the error logs on this machine?
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:40
/var/log/httpd
shows for all vhosts on machine, so you gotta grep it
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:42
make it's hard to see yeah

CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:45

alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:45
yup
was able to enter objects, do batch media imports
got about 1000 objects in
possible php version issue?
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:47
I really I have no idea
When you get "Premature end of script headers:" you are pretty much consigned to trying random things until it works
sometimes it's file permissions but I've already changed them
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:48
like the rest of my life

@kaik84
Feb 14 2016 16:49
probably a problem somewhere if it’s not sending all the necessary headers
This error occurs because the server is expecting a complete set of HTTP headers (one or more followed by a blank line), and it doesn’t get them. This can be caused by several things"
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:49
Yes, it's crashing or otherwise terminating prematurely
it's an FCGI process so when the process dies this is the generic error the web server reports
it's not very helpful though
maybe that will offer some insight
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:50
nope that's not it
kaik84
@kaik84
Feb 14 2016 16:50
ok
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:54
changed to php 5.4 and now getting blank page with bool(true)
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:55
I'm working on it
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:55
ok - won't touch anything
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 16:59
can you change it to php 5.5 or 5.6?
I see 5.6 is installed
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 16:59
ok one sec
done
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 17:00

kaik84
@kaik84
Feb 14 2016 17:00

CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 17:12
yes
I really have no idea what is broken
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 17:13
this is really weird
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 17:13
It would be helpful if there was a log with an actual error in it
I can spend a few more hours messing with this
or I can go and have lunch
I am opting for lunch
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 17:14
i know - been driving me crazy that there is no error message to look at
lunch sounds better

@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 17:14
you might want to explore getting a decent hosting option
I know Bluehost is cheap, but there is a reason
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 17:14
i will
running on a shoestring budget here
will follow up with them
thanks for spending so much time on this
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 17:24
Ok I'm out of ideas
you should ask Bluehost support if they have any idea
they have access to /var/log/messages
which might contain something useful
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 17:25
dont sweat it - will follow up with them
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 17:25
let me know what they say
alberg214
@alberg214
Feb 14 2016 17:25

CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Feb 14 2016 17:25
