Hi, I've a quick question. Suppose I've a meta element renders as textbox, called "a.b.c" where a is the container & c is the subelement. Now is there any easy way to copy the values of c into a new textbox (e.g. "x.y.z") without data re-importing?

You could write a couple of lines of PHP to do that
I don't think there's a way to do that in the UI

this is a little different, but has everything you'd need: https://gist.github.com/stefankeidel/cc5cd86b9618fc7beae4
except this is for occurrences, obviously. it moves data from a field called perfSchedule to another attr called productionDate
have a good night!

Hi, I'm still having trouble importing data... I'm trying to find the mistake in my table and came up with a question: is it necessary to have information in rule triggers and rule actions if you don't want to skip anything? I just want the data to be imported, not setting or skipping anything

If all you want to do is a straight import without any login (skipping/setting) then all you'll need are mappings
and, perhaps, constants

thanks! I just have mappings, but I can't import it
the names were incorrect, but even after making them right I still can't make it work

what sort of data are you trying to import?

Do you mean the format? XML
Letícia Ferreira

and the data are names and dates, only text

which data format are you using in your import mapping? as far as I remember we don't have a generic XML reader
it's always TEI or FMPXML or whatever ...
Letícia Ferreira
@letsferrera

we are using FMPXML

Have you tried running the importer in DEBUG mode and looking at the logs? I'm sure it's just not grabbing the right data from the document. I've never used the FMP reader so I can't give any specific examples, unfortunately
I just asked a colleague who worked on FMP imports in the past. Trying to get a working example mapping for you. That might not happen before tomorrow though

We tried that, but still no rules are generated
Thank you! We really have no idea on why it is not working, so any help is great
