Hi! Only the first one is showing ... where?
mrjayviper
@mrjayviper
Mar 10 2016 00:03
sorry. I wasn't clear. I created a new display with the template above.
and I used the display on basic search

Ah, ok
Hmm it looks okay to me. This is on v1.6.x?
mrjayviper
@mrjayviper
Mar 10 2016 00:04
yes.
the code above was saved in "display format" for condition information

Makes sense. Looks all good to me, the only thing I'd change is to make the line break valid XML
<br /> instead of <br>
but that's probably not it
Can we see that system?
mrjayviper
@mrjayviper
Mar 10 2016 00:07
sadly no. it's behind a firewall
I didn't change anything else other than that.

Looks okay to me. Can you give us a configuration export or the profile you used for setup?

just a sec
I
I'm new to this so need to find my way around.
but I'm pretty sure we used (actually Sami) used spectrum

The config export is under Manage > Administration > Maintenance > Export config
Yeah I'm sure he did use SPECTRUM but the condition thing is definitely something they added

Hi guys, can you point me to the right direction, how can we generate a 'display' having the datewise latest data from a container? (E.g. we've a "Condition information" container , where we might have more than 20 data per object. I want to extract the latest input data)
thanks for your help!
Stefan

<unit>s have sort, start and length options
oh and sortDIrection
so if you have a date in your container, you could sort by that date with sortDirection="DESC and use length="1" ... that'll get you the newest one
actually I'm not sure if it's length or limit. may want to try both

@mrjayviper your problem is definitely locale related. looks like you have en_US, en_AU and fr_FR enabled for cataloguing (are you sure you need them all?), so whenever you create a second condition value, it'll be in French
The display template parser always pulls stuff in the preferred locale for the current user, i.e. whatever UI locale that user has selected
Also, your condition container takes up a ton of space! It's kind of hard to use on a smaller screen. I'm sure you could fit the date, the condition and "treatment required" in one line, no?

thanks @stefankeidel ! Just one ques for now, if we change a container, could the imported data be lost?
I think it'll change the definition, say from "a.b.c" to "a.c"
Stefan
@stefankeidel
Mar 10 2016 19:03
Actually not entirely sure. If you don't delete the element (c), it should be fine
I just don't know if we have all the UI tools to move it to a lower level
Sami Rahman
@samrahman
Mar 10 2016 19:06
hmm I haven't seen too. I'll double check..
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Mar 10 2016 19:06
We don't have a UI to do that
You'd have to write, very carefully, SQL queries
Sami Rahman
@samrahman
Mar 10 2016 19:07
where the sql queries would go?
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Mar 10 2016 19:07
You'd have to write them in a sql script or on the mysql command-line
and if there's data in there already it can get a little more complicated than that
Sami Rahman
@samrahman
Mar 10 2016 19:07
what I mean, if I move the element to lower level & the data is lost, how to bring back the data?
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Mar 10 2016 19:08
Sorry to be unclear. What I'm saying is you can move the element around without losing data, but only if you write sql queries to do the move. There is no packaged user interface for that sort of thing
Sami Rahman
@samrahman
Mar 10 2016 19:10
do you mean I'd have to write a update sql for this task?
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Mar 10 2016 19:10
yes
Sami Rahman
@samrahman
Mar 10 2016 19:11
ok..I'll try that. I think the backend is more complex & a css fix would be much more easier :-D
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Mar 10 2016 19:11
you could do that too
It all depends how much of a headache you're looking for
Sami Rahman
@samrahman
Mar 10 2016 19:12
right..
Seth, can you confirm that the location tracking works from stand-alone movement editor? I couldn't configure so
CollectiveAccess
@collectiveaccess
Mar 10 2016 19:13
it should work yes
I don't have time to mess with a set up for you now though

No probs. @mrjayviper will communicate with you when you get free..
thanks for all your help!
there's other schools in the university expressing their interest to start using CA too
so lots of ques are at queue ;)
