it's me again.... I'm trying to add a "sort" option in an UI element called "Object Related Entities". I believe this is an intrinsic metadata element since it's not showing in the metadata element list.
This element is present in "Object info" section and I can change the sorting. This same element is in the "Condition" section but no sorting is available? I looked at the UI elements in both sections and both uses "user defined sort order". Also in both sections, the UI element is sorted ascending. nothing stands out on why it doesn't show in the "Condition" section. any ideas? thanks again and for your patience.

hi there, is there a way to customise the Providence log in/dashboard screen? I.e. a common 'dashboard' for any person who accesses the system, ideally with our museum/university logo somewhere and the foundation which helped with a grant to photograph works for the cataloguing system. Also maybe a generic spiel about the museum. I know this is probably sounding like what we'd want for a pawtucket landing page (which will be happening), but in general we'd like to place some kind of 'about' page within Providence, if possible.

You can use the "message of the day" widget to post a message
There is no way to standardize dashboards for all user though
If you really need this post a ticket at http://clangers.collectiveaccess.org and we'll see about adding it as a feature

I should add that it's pretty easy to change the logo
You can either override the logo in the stylesheet or specify an alternative logo graphic in the app.conf config file

I've uploaded a batch of images but after being process they are nothing like the source file. As shown on this link: http://imgur.com/UGHbGDj
Is there any options I need to enable or turn off for the images to be match the source files.

@mrjayviper 1) you could look at a config export and look for the "label" settings in the UI/screen/bundle placement section(s) 2) not anymore -- it used to be but I don't know what happened to that button. The only thing you can do in an edtior is set a default behavior for each bundle (collapsed when value present, always collapsed, that kind of stuff -- I'm sure you've run across that setting)

and 3) you mean the sort dropdown near the top right of the bundle? Try opening up the settings popup for that bundle and save that screen again. Sometimes the "sort order" setting can be empty even though it looks like it's set to "User defined"

@tony-rc looks like your image processing software is generating dark(er) images. We've seen this happen before, but there's not much we can do about it. We just pass the images to the external tools. Which backend are you using?
If GraphicsMagick, try using ImageMagick or vice versa. Upgrading whatever suite you're using also can't hurt.

IIRC, on a previous installation of CA which had issues with darker images being generated, I had to install a new version of ImageMagick directly from the source instead of relying on the software repositories.

Hi all, I'm an absolute beginner in CA. I'd like to know if it's possible to install it in ISPCONFIG3

Welcome! Never heard of ISPCONFIG3 until just now, but it looks like just another control panel. I'm sure it could work but depending on the restrictions that panel imposes it could be a bit of a pain (or not).

@stefankeidel thanks! Yes is an open source control panel. In my case is on a Linux Debian machine that manage my Institute web site. I'd like to use it also for CA because this is the web machine with the best performance that we have at the moment.

Well give it a try and let us know how it goes. We certainly have a bunch of users running Debian setups
